An Apprentice candidate has suggested the programme will be on air for just two more series.
The BBC One business reality show has been on screens since 2005 but it may soon come to an end, according to one former contestant.
Raj Chohan, who was given the boot from the current series this week, believes BBC bosses will axe the show if Lord Alan Sugar was to quit.
She said he has vowed to leave the programme once it reaches its 20th series.
When asked what advice she had for future candidates, she told The Sun: ‘I definitely think if it’s in you and you want to have the opportunity, have Lord Sugar’s investment then do it.

She said Lord Alan Sugar has vowed to leave the programme once it reaches its 20th series
‘He said he’s going to do it for 20 years, he’s done 18 series so just two series left now.
‘Now is your time, don’t be scared, go for it and if it’s meant to be it’ll happen and if it’s not, it’s not the end of the world.’
However, Lord Sugar previously told The Sun he thought the BBC would keep the show on even if he decided to leave.
He said: ‘There’s no reason why I can’t go on to do 25 years. I’m very fit, so I don’t know whether it stops at 20. But if I ever did stop, I get a feeling the BBC wouldn’t stop it.
‘I think they would try to find someone new to do it and that’s where it might kill itself off.’
Raj and Maura Rath were both axed by Lord Sugar in a shocking double eviction during Thursday’s episode of The Apprentice.
The business mogul felt he had no choice but to send the two packing following this week’s chaotic TV shopping task.
Mortgage broker Raj led the team as project manager as they selected items to sell live on air only for things to quickly turn sour.

An over enthusiastic Maura shouted through her segment while attempting to flog a tent, leading to complaints from the viewers and failing to make sales.
‘Tell her to stop shouting!’ the team behind the camera exclaimed only for an oblivious Maura to continue with her antics in on screen.
She excitedly threw her arms in the air as she larked around with the tent and shouted: ‘Who’s going camping? Me! me!’.
While her fellow team mates covered their ears and her director fumed: ‘Tell her to shouting, she doesn’t need to keep shouting!’.
Back in the boardroom Lord Sugar said: ‘This is a selling task, your selling skills Raj, although you say are good, were not good in this case…..but the salesmanship was no good whatsoever’.
‘Maura, I’m sorry Maura but you turned people off, created complaints’.
He went on to blame Raj for not yanking a squealing Maura off air saying: ‘I think the project manager should have pulled you when she watched you and saw you doing it’.
‘And for that reason, Raj, I’m sorry, but I think you are responsible for the failure of this task and therefore You’re Fired’.
He was then torn between Maura and fellow team mate Flo Edwards, who was also in the firing line after dropping prices of the products.

Before snapping: ‘I have to balance in my mind if its 50/50. Honestly, I don’t see it like that, I see it more 70/30. So, Maura it is with regret You’re Fired’.
Upon her exit Raj said: ‘I will take ownership of my mistakes and unfortunately Lord Sugar couldn’t see the investment potential in me, but it’s ok I carry on’.
While Maura concluded in the back of her black taxi: ‘I was screaming didn’t realise it, but you know what it’s just who I am. I have passion and no regrets.’
The Apprentice airs Thursdays at 9pm on BBC One and BBC IPlayer.
