50 Cent led the initial charge of Hollywood stars reacting to the news of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ homes being raided by federal agents amid their longstanding feud.
On Monday, March 25, Diddy’s houses in Los Angeles and Miami were surrounded by Homeland Security agents as part of an ongoing sex trafficking investigation.
Rapper 50 Cent, 48, was quick to repost coverage of the raid, writing: ‘S*** just got real. The Fed’s in all the cribs, d*** they got the kids in cuffs’.
His post marked another notch to the timeline of his feud with Diddy, which has been going on for nearly two decades.
From wild accusations about the murder of Biggie Smalls to the pair running rival businesses, here is everything you need to know about the pair’s long-running feud.

2006
The lengthy quarrel between the two rappers began in 2006, when 50 Cent released his single The Bomb, which appeared to suggest that Diddy had inside knowledge about the 1997 murder of Notorious B.I.G.
A refrain from the song states: ‘Who shot Biggie Smalls? We don’t get ’em / They gonna kill us all. Man, Puffy know who hit that n****.’
This apparent accusation came despite 50 Cent never having had proof of Diddy’s involvement in the murder of Biggie Smalls, with the case remaining officially unsolved to this day.
Diddy meanwhile, has frequently denied that he had any information about the killer.
2014
The pair continued to trade blows and insults on social media as well as in their own songs for years, before their feud escalated in 2014 when they were chosen by competing vodka brands to act as brand ambassadors.
Diddy has co-owned well-known brand Ciroc since 2007, seven years before 50 Cent represented Dutch brand Effen Vodka.
‘Puff’s is not even vodka. It’s grapes [and] says ‘made with vodka,’ you know what I’m saying?’ 50 Cent remarked when appearing on the Drink Champs podcast in 2018.
‘[Effen] is made from wheat from Holland and distilled five times so it’s a lot less sugar, it’s the right way.
‘And then later when you have a headache because you finished your full bottle of Ciroc.… I told you I was smarter.’
50 Cent went on to sell his stake in Effen Vodka for a reported sum of $60million in 2017.
Announcing the news on Instagram at the time, he wrote: ‘I got the bag, EFFEN Vodka can you say 60M’s since they like counting my money DO THE MATH. Lol’.

2018
In 2018, 50 Cent further strained relations between the two rappers after making claims that Diddy is ‘fruity’.
Appearing on an episode of The Breakfast Club podcast, he said: ‘When he says things, he doesn’t even know what he’s saying is, like, fruity.
‘What is you talking about? When people say that to me I get a little uncomfortable.’
50 Cent continued: ‘He said something to me a long time ago, at Chris Lighty’s wedding. He told me he’d take me shopping. I looked at him like,
‘What’d you just say? Let me move, man, before I do something. You gon’ make me mess up the wedding.’ No. That’s something a guy says to a girl.’
Surprisingly, Diddy responded by appearing to quash rumours of any unrest between the pair, saying that 50 Cent ‘loves’ him.
‘I don’t have no beef with Fif. He loves me,’ Diddy said during an appearance on The Breakfast Club.
‘Y’all can’t see that he loves me? You really think that’s hate? You know he loves me.’

2022
In September 2022, 50 Cent was outraged by his former partner Daphne Joy’s decision to attend Diddy’s iHeartRadio Music Festival set, which she shared footage of via her social media channels.
However, Joy was unhappy with 50 Cent’s actions and chose to respond with a comment of her own on Instagram, posting: ‘Please stop doing this to me.
‘I never bother you and I’m an outstanding mother to our son. Can we please just focus on that. Please’. The comment has since been deleted from the platform.
2023
Diddy’s ex-girlfriend, singer Cassie Ventura, filed a lawsuit against him in November 2023, claiming that she had been sexually assaulted and suffered physical abuse for a decade.
He denied the allegations before they reached a settlement a day after they were filed by Cassie.
Diddy denied other claims after more individuals stepped forward with similar allegations, before he chose to step down as chairman of his company Revolt.
50 Cent, meanwhile, added further fuel to the fiery row between the pair, as he expressed his desire to take over the company himself.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, he wrote: ‘I’ll buy that from you play boy, for the low because you know Cadillac and AT&T gonna pull out’.
‘I’ll give you a few dollars for it now! Sell it to me, then we can be friends. I’m serious call my phone.’

Two properties belonging to Diddy in Los Angeles and Miami were searched on Monday, March 25 by federal Homeland Security Investigations agents and other law enforcement as part of sex trafficking investigations.
The rapper, who is facing mounting sexual harassment and rape lawsuits, was nowhere to be seen as agents combed through his properties, removing boxes and bags of evidence.
On Thursday, March 28, just days after 50 Cent publicly mocked Diddy over his alleged involvement in the sex trafficking scandal, 50 Cent’s former girlfriend Daphne Joy accused him of rape, physical abuse, and of being an absent father to their son Sire.
Fuelling 50 Cent’s anger was likely the revelation that Joy was identified as the ‘sex worker’ mentioned in the bombshell lawsuit filed against Diddy by an ex-employee – Joy has adamantly denied the accusation, calling it ‘character assassination.’
Joy dropped the rape claim amid news that 50 Cent is seeking sole custody of their pre-teen son.
In text written over a black background on Instagram, Joy slammed her ex: ‘Let’s put the real focus on your true evil actions of raping me and physically abusing me.
‘You are no longer my oppressor and my God will handle you from this point on. You have permanently damaged the last hope I had for you as a father.’
