Jason Momoa Arrives in Venice for Film Festival with Man Bag and New Look

Jason Momoa landed in Venice on Wednesday for final days of this year’s Film Festival as he sported a man bag.

The A-list actor, 46, appeared to be in good spirits as he touched down in the Italian city sporting a casual look.

Jason was snapped as he arrived at Venice Airport before being whisked off to a nearby boat taxi that was waiting for him.

He wore cream cotton trousers with a white vest top for the heat, along with a newsboy hat to protect his head from the rays.

Jason also appeared to be rocking a man bag, which could be seen sitting on his right hand shoulder as he left the airport.

His once bushy beard that he dramatically shaved off earlier this summer also appears to be growing back.

Jason has jetted into Italy for his new movie In The Hand Of Dante, which will have its world premiere at the Film Festival on Wednesday.

The Baywatch actor stars in the drama film alongside Gerard Butler, Gal Gadot, Sabrina Impacciatore, Franco Nearo and John Malkovich.

It follows the original story of the The Divine Comedy manuscript from the Vatican library but makes its way into the hands of a mob boss in New York.

Jason shocked fans in July when he removed his thick beard while promoting his water brand Mananalu, which he launched in 2019.

The entertainment industry fixture wrote in his caption to his nearly 17 million followers, ‘I launched @mananalu to help eliminate single-use plastic.’

‘Now, we’re taking it even further, partnering with our team at @Getboomerangwater to bring in a closed-loop system that sanitizes and bottles water onsite,’ he added.

His note went on, ‘That means even less waste, reduced shipping footprint, and our aluminum bottles get reused over and over. This is the future, and we’re starting in Hawai’i.’

Jason urged his followers, ‘Let’s get rid of single-use plastic. For our children and for our planet. All my aloha, j.’

‘I think it’s been six years since I did [the movie] Dune,’ he reflected in the reel before adding, ‘What was really special about that is that is when I started [growing my beard] and started launching Mananalu.’

Meanwhile, Jason recently opened up about a terrifying near-death experience.

The Aquaman star revealed on the latest episode of the Smartless podcast that he nearly drowned while on a surf outing off the coast of Maui, Hawaii, in 2007.

‘I was doing this paddle, we went in at Jaws,’ he said, referring to the surf break located on the northern shore of Maui, which draws the world’s top surfers to its enormous — and potentially deadly — waves.

Jason — who is currently dating the Andor actress Adria Arjona — explained to hosts Jason Bateman, Will Arnett and Sean Hayes that his group of paddle boarders were taking a 13-mile route along the island’s coast when his situation took a dire turn.

‘You’re kind of almost a mile offshore, and then my leash snapped. We’re about seven miles into it and my leash snapped, and it’s so windy on Maui,’ he said.

Jason was at the time starring on Stargate: Atlantis, and said he was ‘trained pretty well’ at the time, so he initially felt ‘fine,’ but things took a turn for the worse as waves began to batter him.

‘I took quite a few on the head. They’re pretty big, like 10-foot Hawaiian waves,’ he shared. ‘But I’m probably half a mile at that point offshore.’
