Carol Burnett plays Wordle with pal, Allison Janney, and revealed that she is a pro at the New York Times puzzle – as she boasted about solving the game in one guess 7 times.
The comedian, 90 – who recently said that she wants Angelina Jolie to play her in a biopic – opened up about doing Wordle every day with her Palm Royale co-star, 64, on Monday’s episode of Live With Kelly And Mark.
At one point, host Kelly Ripa asked the actress who was better at the game, and Burnett stated, ‘We’re kind of even.’
However, Carol then added, ‘I have something to say. I have gotten Wordle in one, seven times,’ causing the live audience to erupt into cheers and applause.
‘Sometimes the word would be Talen. Or hunch, or stash. Or the other day, it was towel. And for some reason, I don’t know,’ she continued, with Mark Consuelos jumping in to say, ‘You can see it.’

The star further explained, ‘You know I’m in a hotel, I need some more towels, so I put in towel and that was it. It was crazy.’
While talking to Variety earlier last week, Allison also discussed being Wordle partners with Burnett and admitted that Carol was the best at the game ‘hands down.’
‘She beats me all the time…She gets an average of two and below and I get it mostly in four.’
In regards to having the chance of working alongside the comedian in the latest Apple TV+ series, The West Wing actress gushed, ‘She’s one of my heroes.’
‘As a young girl, once I saw her on The Carol Burnett Show, it was my must-see TV. I watched it every week.’
‘I love her so much. So to get to work with her is beyond a dream come true. I never even thought that was a possibility.’
During an interview with Entertainment Tonight last year in April, Burnett talked about her Wordle skills and how playing the game with Janney came about.
‘We just Wordle back and forth. She’s the first one every morning at my coffee,’ she explained to the publication at the time.

That same month, she also told The Hollywood Reporter, ‘My husband [Brian Miller] and I start the day with crossword puzzles.’
‘Oh, and I Wordle. I Wordle with Allison Janney, Charlize Theron and David Crane, who wrote Friends. They’re my friends, and we all Wordle.’
During her appearance on Live With Kelly And Mark, the Riverdale star brought up a past quote from Burnett where she said she wanted to meet George Clooney before she turned 90.
However, ahead of her 91st birthday – which will take place next month on April 26 – she revealed that she is ‘now thinking about Bradley Cooper.’
Kelly quickly chimed in to say, ‘Everyone knows that this is the official morning show of Bradley Cooper. He loves this show!’
Ripa then turned to look directly into the camera and said, ‘Brad, give Carol a call. And you know which phone to use.’
Burnett then joked that she felt it wouldn’t ‘work with my husband.’ The comedian tied the knot with Brian Miller back in 2001.
Carol made an appearance on the talk show on Monday while promoting her latest series Palm Royale – which officially premiered on Apple TV+ on March 20 with the first three episodes.

The premise follows, ‘An ambitious woman schemes to secure her seat at America’s most exclusive table: Palm Beach high society circa 1969,’ per an official IMDB synopsis.
In regards to taking on the role of Norma in the show, the Annie actress expressed, ‘All I had to do was hear who was going to be in it: Kristen [Wiig], Laura, Ricky – it’s just an incredible cast,’ per Deadline.
‘I didn’t even read the script. I wanted to work with these people and get to know them. We had dinner and a lot of fun.’
‘Of course, in the first few episodes, I’m in a coma and I still got paid. So it was a slam dunk,’ she said, but added, ‘I did read the script – I was kidding before.’
‘To read that and to know that I could have fun with the directors and the way it was written. And they let me do what I do…’

‘She would make me laugh, because it’s comedy… And I was like “Wait, wait, wait, let’s do this again, because this is impossible!” But that’s her, it’s wonderful.’
Wiig also had kind words to say about Carol and recently told People at the premiere of the series in Beverly Hills, ‘We have dinner and talk and text and she’s so funny.’
‘I did press with her yesterday and she was cracking everybody up. And I am a better person from knowing her. I just love her.’
