Vicky Pattison has revealed she had to quit social media after being inundated with cruel taunts while she was freezing her eggs.
The former Geordie Shore star, 36, documented the process online last year after spending £7,000 on the procedure as her fiancé Ercan Ramadan, 30, wasn’t ready to have children.
In a new interview, Vicky spoke of her hurt when trolls told her ‘God doesn’t want you to have children’ and that she was ‘messing with nature’.
‘I was pumped full of synthetic hormones. I was feeling low. It was the last thing I needed’, Vicky told The Times.
‘I had people saying I’m messing with nature. It’s unnatural what I’m doing, and if I haven’t found someone to have a baby with me maybe I should just give it up, you’ve got to assume those remarks are just designed to hurt.’

The television personality made the decision to step away from social media during the egg-freezing process, which takes around 14 days.
Vicky said she was ‘crestfallen’ when a cyst on her ovary meant she had to push the procedure back from January to April.
The reality star had the egg retrieval with 10 being collected. Three eggs, which were fertilised with Ercan’s sperm, were successful and frozen, while a further three eggs survived to make it the freezing process.
Vicky said: ‘Regardless of the statistics, I know I have done the right thing for myself, my relationship, and if everything goes to plan, my future family, I want to be the best mother I can be, and for that to be possible I need to be in the right place, with certain things already accomplished. I’m content with the decision I have made.’
Despite the trolling, Vicky bravely shared candid updates about her egg-freezing journey.
She wrote on Instagram after the surgery: ‘The surgery itself is pretty straight forward- I was put to sleep & when I woke up I was given the good news that 10 eggs had been retrieved.
‘During every stage of the retrieval process you can sort of expect that number to decline- so just for some perspective- I went in there with 12 follicles ready to be drained & the prospect of there being 12 eggs.
‘Of course there was 10 in the end & we later found out that 9 of those were mature. A result we’re incredibly content with. There are more stages for our eggs to go through & we are just hoping that our good luck continues at the blastocyst process.’

Vicky previously explained she doesn’t feel ready yet to have a child with her fiancé Ercan
But moving on to the recovery stage, it hasn’t been a walk in the park for the former Geordie Shore star.
She continued: ‘I’ve found the recovery more difficult & dare I say painful than I anticipated- I know it’s different for everyone- but that’s just been my experience. So even though we’re feeling super blessed & very proud of our eggies the last few days have been quite challenging.
‘But I went back to work today, I’m feeling more like myself and I’m super positive but also a little bit annoyed that I let a couple small minded, kn**head trolls put me off sharing my journey with you all last week.. I think that must have been my hormones playing havoc with my emotions making me think I was a weak *** b**ch.
‘But like I say, I’m feeling much more myself now and happy to catch you up on what you’ve missed! And for anyone who isn’t interested/doesn’t care/doesn’t agree with my decision… Keep scrolling, you don’t have to leave a weird comment. It’s unnecessary, mean and just makes everyone think you’re abit of an ar**hole’.
Vicky previously explained she doesn’t feel ready yet to have a child with her fiancé Ercan and believes by freezing both her embryos and her eggs it ‘relieves herself of the pressure’.
‘I was just freezing my eggs before but freezing embryos has a better success rate so I am doing both,’ she told New! Magazine.
‘I’m 35, but I don’t want a child right now. I’m not ready. No one’s ready, Ercan and I have been dating four years and he’s 29. The last thing I want to do is force him into a situation where he’s not confident or not ready and then he becomes resentful.’
Vicky adds due to her struggle to find the perfect wedding venue with the ‘wow factor’, they may find they end up having a baby before getting married.
‘The wedding process has been more challenging than I anticipated. We may not marry first, it might be the year after that as I don’t have to be married to have a baby. Everything will happen when it should.’
