17 years after overshadowing her acting career with six court-ordered rehab stints and other Hollywood wild child antics, Lindsay Lohan has been relishing her comeback and she ‘really wants to play’ fellow flame-haired bombshell and two-time Oscar nominee Ann-Margret in a biopic.
‘We’re trying to find a writer for that story,’ the 37-year-old former child star revealed in her Bustle cover story on Thursday.
‘She’s a triple threat, and she’s an amazing woman on top of that. So I just really want to do her justice and help tell a great story for her.’
Lindsay’s favorite film the Swedish-American 82-year-old ever starred in was Douglas Heyes’ 1964 crime drama Kitten with a Whip.
‘This girl who breaks out of a mental institution and breaks into this man’s house who’s running for senator,’ Lohan described.

And while The Mean Girls actress loves late screen stars like Marilyn Monroe and Clara Bow, she admitted: ‘I’m more Ann-Margret.’
It’s unclear if Lindsay has yet approached Ann-Margret (last name Olsson), whose most recent acting gig was the 2022 Hallmark Channel movie A Holiday Spectacular.
Lohan also said she dreams of joining Saturday Night Live’s Five-Timers Club – ‘I’m so close to that robe!’ – and she’d ‘love, love, love to do a movie with Adam Sandler,’ whom she met backstage at the 2004 Teen Choice Awards.

The SAG Award nominee has spent the past decade living in Dubai where she met her husband Bader Shammas (their first wedding anniversary is April 3) and welcomed their first child, eight-month-old son Luai Shammas.

‘We’re probably going to start to spend more time here [in the United States]. We’re not sure [where] yet. We’re still deciding. We’re looking now.’
Both Lohan and the 36-year-old financier executive produced Janeen Damian’s fantastical rom-com Irish Wish – premiering this Friday on Netflix – as well as Stephen Herek’s upcoming Christmas rom-com Our Little Secret (both of which she stars in).
‘I had a scene where I was crying, and then my husband surprised me with the baby on set, so then I was crying again, happy tears,’ the Walmart brand ambassador recalled.
Our Little Secret marks Lindsay’s third Netflix film after signing a two-picture creative partnership deal with the streaming giant back in 2022.
And while many of Lohan’s peers Paris Hilton and Britney Spears have starred in documentaries and penned tell-all memoirs, she’s going to keep her ‘duffel bags full of notebooks/diaries’ on the shelf for several more years.
‘I congratulate all the people that [have done that]. I think it’s good that they do what they want to take their power back,’ Lohan explained.
‘When I’m ready and I accomplish all of the things I want to accomplish, then I’ll maybe consider doing it. But my story isn’t finished yet, so I’m not in a rush to share my side of it.’
