Jessie James Decker revealed that her most recent caesarean section ‘kicked my butt’ in a post that was shared on her Instagram Story on Wednesday morning.
The 35-year-old singer – who welcomed her fourth child and third son, Denver, in February – opened up about her recovery during a Q&A session with her fans.
The hitmaker began her session by responding to a fan who asked how she was doing, and she stated that, although she had undergone a caesarean section before, she had not anticipated how difficult it would be her fourth time around.
Decker wrote: ‘This last C-section kicked my butt. Was harder to recover and I forgot how much ya don’t sleep.’
The Lights Down Low singer did write, however, that she was glad to have been able to welcome another healthy child into her family.

‘The first week I felt so overwhelmed with love. and would randomly tear up and say “I just love him so much.” I just feel so grateful god blessed us again,’ she said.
Decker went on to speak about why she, as well as her husband Eric Decker, had chosen to name their child Denver.
‘He came to me in a dream before I knew the gender. I dreamt I was holding him. saying his name and he was smiling,’ she said.
The performer then wrote that her fourth child ‘looks exactly how I dreamt him.’
The singer and her 36-year-old husband initially met in 2011, and they went on to tie the knot after two years of dating.
Decker and the former professional football player began their family with the arrival of their daughter Vivianne, 9, in March of 2014.
The happy couple went on to welcome a pair of sons named Eric II, eight, and Forrest, five, in 2015 and 2018, respectively.
The country singer announced that she was pregnant with Denver by sharing a post on her Instagram account in August of last year, and she gave birth on February 9.

Decker spoke about parenting during an interview with Us Weekly and stated that she had learned to prioritize personal time with her children.
‘One-on-one time is extremely important. It goes by so fast. I feel like I just had Vivianne yesterday! So you’ve got to have those memories, even when I’m tucking them in,’ she said.
The performer then remarked that she did not feel as if her aspirations had not been fulfilled until she welcomed children.
‘I became me when I became a mother. My kids complete my life. They inspire me, and when I’m happy, I feel like I’m my most creative,’ she said.
