Married At First Sight’s Michael Felix has broken his silence after his relationship with Stephen Stewart was rocked by a flirting scandal this week.

In Monday’s episode, Michael, 34, became upset after he witnessed his husband Stephen, 26, flirting with another man, before exchanging numbers with him.

Their relationship was thrown into doubt when Stephen told Michael he felt a stronger connection with the hair stylist than he did with him.

Michael has now broken his silence on the emotional scenes, appearing on HIT radio show Bronte & Lakey to discuss the shocking drama.

Speaking to hosts Bronte Langbroek and Danny Lakey, Michael admitted he felt ‘blindsided’ by the flirting, particularly given Stephen’s openness about having been cheated on in a past relationship.

Michael said: ‘Apparently there was a spark there that I did witness that I tried to ignore, and come to find out that there was a sexual attraction there to this guy that he never have with me, that he could never see with me. It was a shame.’

‘It was a complete blindside, especially given his past as well and knowing how monogamy works for him and myself as well,’ he added.

Michael also went on to make a swipe at some of his MAFS co-stars as he claimed that much of the 2024 cast were only on the reality TV show for ‘drama’.

‘There’s a lot of people on the show only there for drama and there’s some people that are truly genuine there,’ he cryptically said, but declined to name anyone.

However, he went on to discuss his unexpected clash with Sara which saw the bride come to Stephen’s defence amid the flirting scandal, leaving Michael enraged.

In the fiery clash, Michael accused Sara of being ‘shallow’ while she slammed him for ‘lashing out’ at her as they butted heads.

Of their clash, Michael said: ‘[Sara’s] obviously involved in a lot of drama and a lot of mess.’

‘She sat right next to me and it just triggered me, I was like I’m done with this. You never give anyone else the opportunity to speak, get away from me,’ he went on.

‘I will always fight fire with fire if I need to.’

Michael shared his upset on MAFS in scenes which aired on Monday after witnessing his husband Stephen flirting with a hairdresser while they both visited a salon.

‘Stephen was getting his hair done. I could see my husband flirting with his hairdresser. I later saw them texting,’ Michael told the cameras during the episode.

Stephen was unapologetic about the incident and told Michael that he felt a stronger connection with the hair stylist than he did after three weeks with him.

Michael said: ‘He told me he felt a spark with the hairdresser that he has never felt with me. My trust is betrayed, he let a spark bring down an entire house.’

‘I had a 30 second conversation with someone and it was so much easier to get flirty with them than with you after knowing you for weeks,’ Stephen added.
