Mia Thornton accused Ashley Darby of being a ‘gold digger’ on Sunday’s episode of The Real Housewives Of Potomac on Bravo.
The season eight episode titled Fool’s Gold featured the women continuing their group trip to the Dominican Republic.
Mia, 39, during a tennis lesson with Karen Huger, Wendy Osefo and Candiace Dillard Bassett brought up Ashley, 35, after recently talking to her about their relationships.
‘Like, do you think that she is not getting divorced for financial reasons?,’ Mia asked referencing Ashley and her estranged husband Michael Darby, 64.
‘Cause let me tell you. She’s a gold digger,’ Mia added.

Mia said that Ashley told her she was scared to leave because she has two children and a mortgage.
‘I said, “Okay, so, girl, you were getting a divorce ’cause you thought you were gonna get a prenup, but then you realized the prenup wasn’t nothing, so you had to go back in for round two”,’ Mia said.
Candiace pointed out that Ashley previously shared that she has a non-existent relationship with her father.
‘That kind of trauma, she definitely feels like she is being abandoned, again, by a father figure,’ Candiace said.
The whole group later went to dinner and Candiace shared that they talked about Ashley’s divorce during their tennis session.
‘Mia was more so of the position that you are a gold digger,’ Candiace told Ashley.
‘She used that term,’ Candiace added.
‘I did,’ Mia admitted.

Mia pointed out that Ashley last year celebrated getting a divorce on social media.
‘I think you’re not getting it right now because you married Michael for his money,’ Mia said.
‘Did you marry Gordon for his money?,’ Ashley asked.
‘I might have,’ replied Mia who recently split from Gordon.
‘Okay, well, I didn’t,’ Ashley said.
‘But I’m also not getting a divorce. So, we’re not talking about me,’ Mia said.
Ashley pointed out that Mia recently admitted to seeking out a divorce lawyer.
‘I just think she’s jealous because Mia thought she was gold digging, but she really got fool’s gold, okay? My s*** was real and authentic, and she got some pyrite,’ Ashley said in a confessional.
‘You said you’re not getting alimony, but you get, like, a lump sum, right?,’ Robyn Dixon asked.
Ashley was then grilled at the table about her finances with Michael.

‘Michael and I both pay for the children. So, when it comes to their schooling, clothes, all that stuff, we both contribute to that. I will say Michael does contribute to my car, at least for now,’ Ashley said in a confessional.
A producer asked if they share credit cards or any accounts.
‘I mean, I didn’t say all of that. Okay, I do have a credit card. He says I can use it in emergencies, but, you know, I don’t really feel comfortable using it. And we do have a joint account, and that joint account I use for the children. Even for the groceries, like, I take out of that account, and Uber Eats, yes,’ Ashley answered.
‘I feel like, if she was a gold digger, she’d still be with Michael,’ Gizelle Bryant said.
