Kate Cassidy has shared a heartbreaking tribute on what would have been her late boyfriend Liam Payne’s 32nd birthday on Friday, 10 months after his passing.
The One Direction star tragically died aged 31 on October 16 after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
In a sweet nod to ‘the most special soul’, Kate heartbreakingly admitted she ‘misses him so much’.
She wrote: ‘8.29.93. A special day for the most special soul. I miss you so much. Happy Birthday Liam. I wish we could celebrate together. In the next life I guess❤️’
In the video, she penned: ‘Happy birthday, hope you are celebrating in heaven’.

It comes after Liam’s ex Cheryl announced her return to the spotlight, following his tragic death.
The Girls Aloud singer, 42, has featured in a new campaign for skincare giant Nivea, with the collaboration announced on Instagram on Monday – with a host of nods to her career littered through the brief clip.
In a striking clip, Cheryl, who shares son Bear, eight, with the late star, is seen strutting into a studio, before sitting with her face covered by a newspaper boasting the lyrics to her 2019 song Fight For This Love alongside the date ‘August 2025’.
A message then flashes up, and reveals: ‘A New Era, Tomorrow’. The social media team captioned the clip: ‘This is right up our street. Tomorrow. 9am. A new era of skincare… guess who’s joining us?’
The caption from Nivea is a nod to one of Cheryl’s catchphrases during her stint as an X Factor judge – when she would often say: ‘You are right up my street’.
The clip begins with the stars stepping out of a car, with her heels on display, and then pulling the tie of her trenchcoat and boosting her hair.
Another nod to her appearance comes when the camera zooms in on her iconic hand tattoo – a unique tribal design which has become synonymous with the star.
In the wake of Liam’s passing, Cheryl has removed herself from the spotlight after touring with Girls Aloud in May ahead of his passing just months later.

Last month, it was reported that the star was in advance talks to return to TV after five years by taking a role as a judge on The Voice.
It has been claimed she is being lined up for the 14th series, where she will be joined by her long-time friend and collaborator will.i.am.
Insiders told The Sun: ‘Will.i.am and Cheryl first worked together 16 years ago and have remained good friends ever since. She was the obvious choice to mentor his team when the Battle Rounds return four years after being axed.
‘A lot has happened in Cheryl’s personal life since she was last working on a talent show — BBC’s The Greatest Dancer — so she’s taking baby steps to put herself back out there.’
Following Liam’s death, Cheryl released a statement regarding her grief and how she will navigate raising Bear without his father.
She penned: ‘As I try to navigate this earth shattering event, and work through my own grief at this indescribably painful time, I’d like to kindly remind everyone that we have lost a human being…
‘Liam was not only a pop star and celebrity, he was a son, a brother, an uncle, a dear friend and a father to our 7 year old son. A son that now has to face the reality of never seeing his father again…
‘Before you leave comments or make videos, askyourself if you would like your own child or family to read them. Please give Liam the little dignity he has left in the wake of his death to rest in some peace at last.’
