Vicky Pattison has revealed she has been secretly manifesting her appearance on Strictly Come Dancing for years after creating her own vision board.
The TV personality, 37, who rose to fame on MTV’s Geordie Shore, was unveiled as the eleventh celebrity taking part in this year’s BBC competition earlier this month.
And now Vicky has revealed how she believes she made it happen as she encouraged fans to create their own vision boards full of pictures of both their professional and personal goals.
The star revealed: ‘I swear by them. I have two in my office, two huge ones, one for my professional life and one for my personal life. I’m not scared to tell you what’s on them.
‘My professional one is filled with images of me on Strictly Come Dancing and the BBC logo. And it’s got a picture of Stacey Dooley, because I want to film hard-hitting documentaries and talk about issues that I’m passionate about, like women’s reproductive health, women’s safety, and so many other issues that affect us,’ she told The Mirror.
While the star rose to fame for her partying antics and drunken behaviour during her reality TV days she is determined to put that behind her.
Vicky Pattison reveals her wacky belief in manifesting goals that landed her a place on this year’s Strictly
The star revealed she used a vision board to manifest herself on the show: ‘I swear by them. I have two in my office, two huge ones, one for my professional life and one for my personal life’
She explained she is tried of being known as ‘Vicky from reality TV’ and wants to be known as a TV presenter, author and broadcaster.
The star added: ‘Eventually, I want people to be more interested in the quality of my work than the details of my life. It’s a difficult jump to make because there is a huge stigma around people who come from reality television, basically that we’re talentless and have nothing to offer.’
Vicky insisted she doesn’t agree with these statements and will be hoping to find a new audience during her time on Strictly.
Last week Vicky shared a behind-the-scenes glimpse of her swollen cut-up feet on Instagram after her first week of gruelling Strictly rehearsals.
Sharing a photo of her red swollen feet after rehearsing, she wrote: ‘And so it begins’, (crying and laughing emoji).
In a second post, Vicky admitted she feels like she has been ‘hit by a car’ as she has found ‘dancing so hard’ after starting rehearsals.
She said: ‘Our first @bbcstrictly rehearsal… The start of the day versus… the end.
‘It certainly was a baptism of fire lads… that’s for sure! If I was doubting my ability before.. then I REALLY am now!!! Dancing is SO HARD!
She added: ‘My professional one is filled with images of me on Strictly Come Dancing and the BBC logo. And it’s got a picture of Stacey Dooley, because I want to film hard-hitting documentaries’ (Stacey pictured on Strictly in 2018)

‘No wonder those pros are all drop dead gorgeous. I feel like I’ve been hit by a car and I’ve already got blisters.. WTF???
‘A serious new found appreciation for everyone who’s ever taken part!
‘BUT… what an amazing day, the team are incredible, the celebs are so wonderful and the pros are an absolute joy.
‘If I hang around long enough… I think I’ll really love my new family. I’m off to think about my life choices and apologise to all the fellas I stepped all over today!’
Vicky will join the likes of Gladiator Harry Aikines-Aryeetey; Love Island’s Dani Dyer; actress Alex Kingston; footballer Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink; soap star Balvinder Sopal and TikTok star George Clarke on the dancefloor.
