Australian influencer Kobie Thatcher was seen waiting at an airport for Taylor Swift 15 years ago in a resurfaced picture despite claiming she’s ‘certainly no fan’.
The conservative political commentator sparked outrage from Swifties this week when she went to extreme lengths to troll the global megastar, 34, during her visit Down Under.
She joined a small group of fans who gathered at Sydney Airport to take a swipe at Taylor for the megastar’s attacks on former U.S. president Donald Trump as she touched down via private jet.
Posting a snap of her protest to social media, Kobie claimed that she is ‘certainly no fan’ of Taylor’s and said she wanted to give her an ‘appropriate welcome’, sparking outrage from social media users.
Despite her insistence that she isn’t a fan of Taylor’s, a photograph taken 15 years ago shows the social media star once again waiting at Sydney Airport for Taylor.

The snap showed Taylor arriving at Sydney Airport for a visit back in 2009 with a toy kangaroo in hand, and Kobie could be seen in the background behind Taylor.
Kobie and her mother appeared to be waiting for Taylor upon her arrival at the airport, as the star simply strolled through arrivals during her early days of fame.
Taylor is not the first celebrity who Kobie has rubbed shoulders with over the years, as she often posts pictures of her encounters with celebrities on her social media.
Kobie, who describes herself as a ‘rock music enthusiast’, has been seen posing with the likes of Rod Stewart, Def Leppard’s Phil Collen and Motley crue’s Nikki Six upon their arrival at airports and in hotels.
She is also a frequent concert-goer, having seen huge names including Kiss, Elton John, Rod Stewart and The Used perform live during their tours Down Under.
Kobie also met controversial British politician and former UKIP leader Nigel Farage when he visited Australia, a year ahead of his appearance on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!.

The resurfaced picture comes after Kobie joined a small group of fans in taking a swipe at Taylor upon her arrival in Sydney on Monday for her Eras tour.
Standing with a group of young fans who braved the wet weather to wait for the singer, Kobie could be seen holding a sign that read: ‘Swifties for Trump.’
The outspoken social media identity – who has divisive views on Australia’s COVID response and Indigenous issues – later posted an image of her protest to X.
Thatcher told her followers: ‘I’m certainly no fan of hers, but decided to give Trump-hating Taylor Swift an appropriate welcome as she touched down on her private jet in Sydney today.
‘Featuring the fake news and a couple of fans in the background.’
However, her post divided users on X – formerly known as Twitter – as they took to the platform to respond to her protest.
‘What a sad and miserable life you must live Kobie,’ wrote one angry Swiftie, while another agreed: ‘Imagine what a sad life you must have to do this.’

‘Good that you’re near a hydrant so that you can put out the bin fire that is your sad life,’ added another.
‘Nothing like ruining a young fan’s day with your presence.’
But others approved of her actions and congratulated her for her ‘guts’ in her protest.
‘Lol you make my day Kobie, I would love to see her reaction,’ messaged X user Skye, Trumps Spy.
When asked whether she ‘copped abuse’ from fans, she replied: ‘No abuse, but don’t think some of the news reporters were too amused.’
Global megastar Taylor made headlines in 2020 for a tweet she made attacking then-President Trump during his time in the Oval Office.
The Shake It Off singer took to social media to condemn Trump for his remarks over the violence that erupted after the police-related shooting death of George Floyd in Minneapolis.

Taylor wrote: ‘After stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism your entire presidency, you have the nerve to feign moral superiority before threatening violence?
‘When the looting starts the shooting starts’??? We will vote you out in November. @realdonaldtrump.’
Taylor is currently in Australia for her hotly-anticipated Australian leg of her Eras tour, which has seen Swiftie mania completely overrun the country.
