John Farnham’s son Rob has married longtime girlfriend Melissa Kelly.

The 42-year-old singer, who is the eldest son of Australian music legend and his wife Jill, shared the happy news to his Instagram page on Monday. 

Posting about the nuptials to his Stories, Rob shared: ‘On Saturday I married my best friend and dream girl Mel Kel.

‘It was such a beautiful day and I am so happy and full of love’.

‘I appreciate everyone who made the trip to the event. Mel I can’t wait to spend a lifetime with you,’ he added.

The lovebirds announced the news of their engagement in November 2022.

Posting a series of romantic pictures to Facebook, the handsome rocker paid tribute to his fiancée.

‘My best friend and love of my life said yes to marrying me,’ Robert gushed in the caption.

‘I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.’

It comes two months after his father John Farnham was seen for the first time since oral cancer surgery. 

The music legend looked in good spirits as he celebrated Christmas with his family.

The 74-year-old cuddled up to his wife Jill as he sat down to a family meal.

He was surrounded by his sons and relatives, who wore holiday themed bibs and Santa hats. 

In August of 2023, John revealed he’s cancer-free, 12 months after having mouth surgery.

In a personal statement, the music superstar said he was finally in the comfort of his own home surrounded by his loving family and felt like ‘the luckiest man I know’.
