After a decade on BBC Radio 1, Jordan North announced his exit from his Going Home show this week after a decade with the station.
Following Jordan’s announcement, it was revealed former Made In Chelsea star Jamie Laing, 35, would be taking his place – Monday to Thursday at 3.30pm to 6pm from March 4 – next to co-host Vick Hope.
Jordan is reportedly off to fill the boots of Roman Kemp on Capital Radio’s breakfast show.

Who is Jordan North dating?
Jordan has kept details of his love life under wraps and has never publicly named any partners.
Before heading into the I’m A Celebrity castle in 2020, he said: ‘I am single at the moment. But that is not the reason why I am going in. I just want to have fun and this is something that will stick with you forever. The fact I am going to be doing it doesn’t seem real.’
In 2021, he told the Mirror: ‘I’ve always tried to keep things pretty private. It’s sometimes quite unnerving when people are asking about your personal life.
‘But you know what, it’s part and parcel of the job.’
Jordan’s ‘kinky’ confession
While Jordan has not given details of any relationships, he has hinted at some romantic encounters in the past, with his Help I Sexted My Boss podcast co-host, etiquette expert William Hanson, revealing information previously.
He told the Metro in 2020: ‘At the start of series five, one of our listeners was constantly sliding in my DMs asking, “Is Jordan kinky?” Anyway, I thought I’d ask Jordan on the podcast.

Jordan North quits BBC Radio 1
Jordan North broke his silence about quitting BBC Radio 1 on Saturday.
The presenter, 34, has stepped down from his Going Home show after a decade with the broadcaster to reportedly replace Roman Kemp as the Capital Breakfast host.
Thankful for all the support from him listeners, Jordan took to Instagram to thank his followers for their kind words.
Jordan wrote: ‘Hello everyone. I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank all my wonderful colleagues / talented producers at Radio 1 who many I consider to be friends for life and will miss greatly, you’ve all reached out to me over the past 24 hours and it really has meant a lot.
‘To my amazing fellow presenters I wish I could thank you all personally, I’ve loved working with you it’s been an absolute blast! Big love to Katie Thisleton, Greg James, Arielle Free, Ricky, Melvin & Charlie, Dean & Vicky, Clara Amfo, Matt & Molly, Scott Mills, Grimmy, all the rest of you fantastic lot, and of course my partner in crime Vick Hope…I’ll miss being on air with you every day.

Where is Jordan North going after BBC Radio 1?
According to sources, Jordan is set to replace Roman Kemp on the Capital FM breakfast show.
Insiders revealed to The Sun that Jordan had signed a big money deal with the rival station.
The source said: ‘Jordan is moving to Capital FM to replace Roman and he could not be more excited. It is absolutely huge for him and although it’s hard to leave the BBC he is excited to get started on Capital.
‘Jordan’s decision has been a hard pill to swallow for the BBC but there was nothing they could do to change his mind.’
