Country Star Berates Nickelback Sound Guy, Jumps into Crowd

Controversial country crooner Gavin Adcock jumped into the crowd gathered at Rock the Country in Anderson, SC last Saturday during his concert to angrily confront the ‘sound guy’ for headliner, Nickelback.

The unnamed crew member had allegedly given the hot-tempered 26-year-old’s father Joe Adcock a ‘hard time’ and tried to get him ‘kicked out’ as he watched the show alongside other relatives.

‘Hey, let me tell you something real quick,’ Gavin said in a TikTok video captured by user @life.with.lexiee.

‘Hey buddy, you’re gonna lose your god**** job you stupid a** bum, you better f*** off back there.’

Adcock climbed back onstage and continued his expletive-filled tirade.

‘That was my daddy right there, and that f***ing stupid f***er in the backwards hat right there was giving him a hard time,’ the If I Can’t Have You singer raged.

‘So f*** you, f***er. When I get done with this set I’m gonna come out there and give you a piece of my mind, you piece of s***.’

Gavin later added: ‘Get his f***ing name, I will f***ing kick his a**.’

The next day, Adcock shared more details about the incident about the man he called ‘dips*** of the week’ with his captive, combined 2.1M social media following.

‘There was a drink sitting on the soundboard. It wasn’t my dad’s, it was my acoustic guitar player’s mom’s,’ the Morgan Wallen opening act explained.

‘Sound dude comes around the corner, sees the drink, slings it off the soundboard – it’s empty by the way – and goes to cussing out my acoustic guitar player’s mom. So my dad hears it probably about 5-10 yards away, steps over, gets in the dude’s face.’

Once the sound guy was confronted by Gavin’s father, he attempted to have security escort him out.

‘I see them, and they are about to grab my dad,’ Adcock recalled.

‘And I just run down the alley and tell them, “Nah, you ain’t kicking [my dad] out, [the sound guy is] the one causing problems.” So security got him, took him on his way.’

The Morning Bail singer concluded: ‘I got you kicked out. The police [dragged] you out on top of your head, you bum. Congratulations, dude, Nickelback’s sound guy’s a real winner.’

The incident came a month after Gavin went on a foul-mouthed rant onstage about Beyoncé and her Cowboy Carter era: ‘You can tell her we’re coming for her f***in’ a**! That s*** ain’t country music and it ain’t ever been country music and it ain’t gonna be country music.’

On May 21, Adock was arrested by the Tennessee Highway Patrol for violating the open container of alcohol law and reckless driving, leading him to spend the night in Oconee County Jail

And it wasn’t the Georgia native’s first brush with the law as he tweeted about a prior arrest in 2023: ‘Went to jail one time because of a suspended license, sat in there for 10 hours and made friends with my cell mates’

Gavin is next scheduled to bring his 34-date Need To Tour to WE Fest in Detroit Lakes, MN on August 8

On August 10, Adcock will throw a lake day listening party at Two Foot Cove on Old Hickory Lake in Juliet, TN for his 24-track third studio album Own Worst Enemy, which drops on August 15
