Reality TV is known for being heavily produced and edited.
So it’s no surprise that viewers of Married At First Sight have spotted a potential editing trick in the latest season of the series.
This week, The Wash posted two screenshots of bride Lauren Dunn drinking from a wine glass.
In one image, Lauren appeared to be drinking water from the glass, but in the other, the liquid had been coloured to a greenish yellow shade similar to that of white wine.
‘We all know the Married At First Sight producers like to get a little creative with their editing… but does this take it too far?’ The Wash wrote.
Rumours are swirling that Married At First Sight bride Lauren was edited to appear as if she was drinking wine
‘Apparently the “wine” Lauren was knocking back during her initial sit down with the experts in the very first episode was actually just water they’d turned green in post production to establish her “party girl” persona from the very start,’ they continued.
‘We did think it was a little weird she was boozing during that day time sit down talking about her dream match.’
Former Married At First Sight star Hayley Vernon commented on the post, writing, ‘And this is how they potentially wreck lives but make you sign a contract to which the first line states “we are not responsible for how you are portrayed”.’
Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Channel Nine for comment.
‘Apparently the “wine” Lauren was knocking back during her initial sit down with the experts in the very first episode was actually just water,’ claimed The Wash
Married At First Sight has been busted in multiple editing fails over the years.
Last season, a guest at one of the weddings was busted wearing an earpiece as he walked bride Tayla Winter down the aisle.
In another scene, bride Claire Nomarhas was shown in the same scene with different coloured nails, indicating that footage from two different times were spliced together.
Married At First Sight continues at 7:00pm this Sunday on Channel Nine
