Love Island viewers have hit out at the lack of diversity on the show after Joe Garratt and twins Jess and Eve Gale arrived as bombshells on Monday.
Despite diversity on the ITV reality show improving in recent years, fans have expressed their desire for more representation in the villa.
Many took to social media to claim Kaz Kamwi, 29, had no one to couple-up, exclaiming: ‘It actually turns my stomach.’
One person wrote on Twitter: ‘Producers have neglected Kaz so much this season, it’s terrible. There’s a reason why S10 & S5 were as good as they were and it’s because of diversity.’
While someone else posted: ‘Love Island actually turns my stomach. What does Kaz need to do to get someone sent in for her???? Another season of White Island where the black girl gets shafted and put in the corner. At this point, she is diversity window dressing.’

And another person shared: ‘I pray for Kaz to get dumped cause the lack of diversity is unbelievable and it’s clear no one’s going to come in for her.’
And someone else commented: ‘Agreed, honestly will be happy for her if they send her home. Imagine how she must be feeling as well. And when she leaves, I will prob stop watching the season. It’s really a shame that we went from season 10 diversity to whatever this is.’
‘You’re right thats it’s lacking the diversity. Are all the women blonde?! Except lovely Kaz?’, asked another viewer, while someone else remarked: ‘The producers simply could improve the diversity of this cast a bit more like it’s not fair Kaz is the only black islander in there.’

While someone else posted: ‘Feel for Kaz can’t lie, you guys need to bring a man for her. Lack of diversity.’
‘All they’re bringing in is white me who don’t like black women? No diversity whatsoever it’s 2024 not the 1900s. S10 was way better than this white only and only 1 token black girl bs loll,’ commented someone else.
While someone else posted: ‘No bc I know the diversity for #loveisland is not great, but jfc this season is a joke…’

It comes after a Love Island 2021 star criticised the All Stars series over a ‘disappointing’ lack of diversity last month.
Doctor Priya Gopaldas, who is now 26, starred in Love Island’s seventh season alongside now departed All Stars Islanders Liberty Poole and Jake Cornish, and remaining villa residents Kaz Kamwi and Toby Aromolaran.
Priya said improved diversity on the programme has not necessarily been done in the most ‘appropriate’ way.
She told The Sun: ‘I think the show has become more diverse, but I don’t think that the diversity is appropriate.’
Priya pointed out that the second-largest majority in the UK is South Asians, who are not represented at all by the latest Love Island cast.
It was, however, revealed that Priya was contacted last year – just a week after the end of a previous relationship – about being involved in the current season, but she will not be taking part.
That involved remote interviews, a psychological assessment and finally a studio meeting.
It comes after Priya Gopaldas pointed out that there is no South Asian representation in the series, meaning that there is nobody from the UK’s largest ethnic minority (Priya pictured for her series in 2021)
However, the junior doctor insisted she ‘didn’t mind’ her absence, as it would have only set her career back even further after taking a year out of medical school to participate three years ago.
In 2021, Priya joined on day 42 of the series, and went on to couple up with Brett Staniland.
After just over a week on screen, she was dumped from the island with Brett in the lead-up to the final.
Priya added that she has been contacted by other South Asians who had applied to Love Island, with no luck, since her appearance.
And with her having been actively head-hunted for her stint in the villa, Priya said: ‘On both sides they’re trying to make it work, but it hasn’t really worked.’

In a teaser at the end of the episode, the Islanders were seen playing a steamy ice breaker game, with the scenes set to air in Tuesday’s instalment.
With Joe, 29, having arrived in the villa alongside twins Jess and Eve Gale, he set about getting to know the residents better.
As part of the challenge, the contestants were asked: ‘Snog the two Islanders you find the most attractive.’
Joe was then seen kissing Molly, who split from fellow Islander Callum Jones in September last year.

Laughing, Georgia leant in towards Molly as they sat next to each other, and asked: ‘Was that the first time, Moll?’
Toby Aromolaran asked: ‘What was that Georgia?’, to which she clarified: ‘I just asked Molly if it was her first time kissing Joe.’
The clip then cut to Joe looking shocked while Molly sat in disbelief and shook her head.
