The Traitors’ Harry Clark has revealed that his desire to find fame and fortune on the show stemmed from not wanting to ‘end up like others from his hometown Slough’.
The British Army Corporal, 23, scooped the show’s £95K jackpot in last week’s final after he managed to convince everyone, including close pal Mollie Pearce that he was a Faithful.
And now he has opened up about why he wanted to take a risk by going on TV in a bid to change his life.
He told The Sun: ‘I’m from Slough and a lot of us have the same life mapped out. You marry young, have kids and then hate your life and are in the pub Thursday, Friday and Saturday — and I didn’t want that life.
‘My whole life I have felt like the wonky pancake. I wasn’t really sure where I fitted in sometimes.

‘It’s the first time my dad has really said how proud of me he is, which is emotional for me.’
He added to the publication that he was a ‘lost and angry’ kid and wanted to be like his brothers and sisters as he struggled to ‘fit in’.
Harry also told how he has previously struggled with his mental health but has now ‘made peace with things’.
He credits the Army for keeping him on track and giving him structure in his younger years.
It comes after it was reported that Harry blew £2,000 on a huge pub party for his family and friends after his epic win on the popular BBC show.
He treated 18 of his nearest and dearest to a party at The George in Eton, Berkshire where he hired out a function room, reports The Sun.
Harry, who hails from Slough, reportedly booked it from 6pm to 11.30pm on Saturday night where guests danced to Sophie Ellis-Bextor tune Murder on the Dancefloor.
The Windsor and Eton Brewery’s marketing manager Kevin Fernandes told the publication: ‘Harry isn’t a regular but he’s been in a few times before.

The nail-biting final saw Harry clinch the £95,000 prize money after convincing a distraught Mollie during the final vote that he was a Faithful
Mollie, 21, was visibly devastated, screaming ‘f***’ and storming out of the castle after Harry revealed his true identity, leaving him the sole winner of the prize pot
‘There were around 18 or 19 of them and we left them to have some privacy in the Hop House, our function room.
‘My staff were really happy with Harry. They said he is a very nice, down-to-earth person. He had no attitude, was very softly spoken and nice to talk to.
‘No one was really drunk – they were all just having a good time. I have no idea how many times they played Murder on the Dancefloor though!’
Harry paid the huge bill of around £2,000 and gave the staff a ‘generous tip’, it has been reported.
A representative for Harry has been contacted by MailOnline for comment.
It came after earlier this week Harry addressed his relationship with fellow finalist Mollie following the nail-biting finale of the smash hit show on Friday.
Series two winner Harry made an appearance on This Morning on Monday to talk about his big win, a moment which saw 6.9 million tune in.

Harry has now addressed rumours that the pair are still feuding, months on from when the finale was filmed.
He insisted that ‘there was no romance involved’ with the model, pointing out ‘I have an amazing girlfriend who I love dearly.’
‘She has an amazing boyfriend who I have met, he’s a legend. So I feel a bit sorry for them as we are just two young people who built a genuine connection and I know more about her boyfriend then I do about Mollie and she knows more about my girlfriend then she does about me because that’s how we connected.’
Calling Mollie ‘a really close friend,’ Harry went on to reveal how his co-star sought him out after the final vote was filmed and they shared an emotional moment.
‘When it finished, she was still worried about me and she didn’t want me to feel like she hated me,’ Harry explained on This Morning.
‘She is amazing to know, she wanted to see me and I was a bit worried going in thinking, “She is going to be behind the door and she’s going to put me out of my misery”, but she just gave me a massive hug and said “I love and hate you at the same time”.’
He added: ‘I wouldn’t blame her if she still hated me now.’
Harry also admitted: ‘I owe Mollie 100%,’ after Mollie revealed that Harry had promised her a holiday to make up for his back-stabbing.
After previously explaining that he hadn’t received his prize money, Harry told Rylan Clark and Rochelle Humes that he collected his jackpot ‘on the way here this morning.’
He also insisted he doesn’t know how he made it to the final, confessing ‘I have the worst poker face in the world. My family always knows if I’m lying but in there I don’t know what happened.’
‘A switch flicked and I was like I’m here for my family and I’m here to try and win the money and that was my motivation.’
‘When I sat there, I wanted to be a Traitor so bad but Claudia made me nervous. In that moment in time I thought how am I going to pull of a lie.’
Speaking on Monday’s episode of Lorraine, Mollie revealed her side of the story with Harry explaining that things are ‘fine’ between them as she revealed how their first meeting went after that dramatic final.
Mollie explained: ‘We are fine. There was always a chance someone was going to be lying to you. I was super close to Miles as well so two massive betrayals in there…

‘The friendships are real. But you can lose them because of the game.’
Recalling seeing Harry again after he pocketed the prize fund, she revealed: ‘He said sorry, of course he did. I had my moment, which I needed. We all saw me walk out.
‘I managed to talk to my parents and my boyfriend and they helped me get my head screwed back on. And they were like, you’re fine, we’re so proud of you.
‘And then I saw Harry and think I called him another naughty word and then we hugged and went back to normal. He won fair and square.’
