Demi Jones says she is more ‘body confident’ following her battle with thyroid cancer as she vows to embrace her curvy frame on Love Island: All Stars.
The TV personality, 25, has been cancer free for the past two years after being diagnosed with the illness in May 2021.
And she says that the ordeal has not only made her a stronger person but she’s also learned to appreciate her body more than she ever did before.
It has been four years since she first found fame on Love Island’s winter series and Demi says that ITV2 viewers are going to see a ‘different person’ as she returns for the All Stars season.
Demi hopes that she can show young females watching the programme that it’s not all about being a ‘supermodel’ and personality should also be a factor when you’re dating.

She said: ‘I feel so grateful to be back here. It has been four years and people are going to see a different side to me because I am so much stronger as a person.
‘It has definitely changed me as a person and made me a lot more confident.
‘I have been two years cancer free as of December.
‘My body has changed, it has gone through so many changes mentally and physically, I appreciate things so much more.
‘I’m going to embrace my body and big boobs, naturally I’m not tiny, I’m no supermodel, that’s just not me so hopefully I can be a role model in general for younger girls who think they have to look a certain way to get on Love Island… you can let your personality shine.
‘I hope I can be an advocate for cancer awareness and I’m hoping people will see that.’
Demi ended her season in third place after coupling up with ex-boyfriend Luke Mabbott, who’s now engaged to former Islander Lucie Donlan.
Since being single, Demi teased that several Love Island contestants have slid into her private messages on Instagram, including the likes of Wes Nelson, Doctor Alex George, and Chris Taylor, who’s also in the All Stars line-up.

She said: ‘Boys do slide into your DMs, they watch you on the show and they’re straight in your DMs afterwards.
‘You’re a big Love Island family and I have always described it as incestuous… people date each other.
‘I have only done bits with one person but to be fair it’s mostly a clean slate.
‘I will give you some names of people that have slid into my DMs, Wes, doctor Alex, and Chris Taylor…’
But unlike in 2020, Demi plans to play the field instead of solely committing to someone that could turn their back on her once the series is over.
She said: ‘I’m not going to put all my eggs in one basket as they say.
‘I coupled up and got to the final and then they got with someone else straight after the show so my guard will be up.
I’m not going to hold back if I’m in a couple with someone or someone shows me interest, I’m going to explore all my options.
‘I have all this confidence and I deserve love just as much as the next person, I don’t want to hurt people’s feelings but I’m going to go after what I want this time.’
- Love Island: All Stars launches on Monday 15th January at 9pm on ITV1, ITV2, ITVX & STV
