ITV bosses have shed light on whether potential throuples could form amongst the celebrities in the upcoming Love Island All Stars series.
Ahead of the launch show on Monday, bosses have said they ‘wouldn’t say no to a throuple’, but it would ‘test the format’ if one actually did form.
A throuple is a romantic relationship between three people who have all unanimously agreed to be in a romantic, loving, relationship together with the consent of all people involved.
Speaking to The Sun, Love Island All Star’s executive producer Mike Spencer confirmed: ‘We won’t say no to a throuple. We’ll see what happens.
‘I mean it would test the format a little bit. We’d have to switch it up, but I think it works as it is.’

The cast of Love Island All Stars was announced on Monday and exes Liberty Poole and Jake Cornish are set to come face-to-face for an on-screen reunion on the show.
Liberty, 24, and Jake, 26, were originally favourites to win the seventh series of Love Island, but broke up and quit the show just days before the final after Movie Night revelations rocked their romance.
Upon her All Stars casting, Liberty admitted it might be ‘awkward’ coming across an ex-boyfriend in the South African villa, ahead of her face-to-face reunion with Jake.
They are not the only exes set to reunite as Toby Aromolaran and Kaz Kamwi – who were a couple on the show in 2021 before he moved on with Chloe Burrows – are both returning to Love Island for a second chance at love.
Other show legends heading back to the iconic Love Island villa include Georgia Harrison – who has her eye on Barbie star Chris Taylor, Hannah Elizabeth, Demi Jones and Luis Morrison.
Meanwhile, Tom Clare is said to be ‘in talks’ to enter as a second bombshell after he was spotted making his way to the South African villa earlier this week.
The former footballer, 24, who was a finalist on the winter series only last year, was seen by holiday makers on a flight to South Africa hinting a potential return to the upcoming series as a latecomer.
And a TV source told the MailOnline that Tom has been in talks with ITV ahead of the exciting new series.

The influencer on Monday also posted two snaps to his Instagram story to possibly steer away from the idea that he is away, as ITV bosses lifted contestants’ social media ban for the upcoming series.
The Love Island All Stars contestants are getting paid for appearing on the upcoming series, it has been confirmed.
While the Islanders do usually get some money to cover their living costs at home while they are away from the UK, the All Stars cast will receive more money.
It was claimed last month the show was ‘thrown into chaos’ as the cast clubbed together to put pressure on bosses to give them more cash.
But fees have been agreed ahead of the programme’s launch next Monday.
Love Island’s executive director Mike Spencer told the Mirror: ‘We are paying all of them exactly the same – and yes it’s more than the civilians get.
‘It’s not like the rumours I’ve heard elsewhere, you know some shows it can be £50,000 to appear it’s nothing like that. But I get it. It’s the name of the game to ask for more money. If I was going on the show I’d ask for a million.
‘We say we only want people looking for love and we research and we vet the contestants but only time will tell [what they are here for.],’ he added, insisting viewers would be able to tell if they are in the villa for anything other than finding someone special.

The Sun reported that the singletons were offered £2,000 a week for their appearance in the new villa which works out to be 433% more than their original stints, which earned them just £375 every seven days.
A source said: ‘[The cast] are pushing ITV for more cash because they’re saying £2,000 a week isn’t enough.
‘Many of the Islanders rely on their social media deals to make cash and by going into the villa, their revenue source will be down.
‘The All Stars cast are clubbing together to try and put the pressure on but as far as ITV are concerned, the pay deal on the table is good and fair.’

How did the Barbie Movie come about? I was invited to an afterparty by Margot Robbie and then ended up at an after party with her. I started to panic and make conversation with her, just having really stupid chats. All I can assume is that my silly chat made an impression on Margot Robbie. 18 months later I got an email from Warner Brothers asking do you want to try out for this role as Ken – it was a tumble dryer of emotions.

Why are you returning to the Love Island villa? I think I went in with my heart on my sleeve the first time and got hurt and this time I am just going in to enjoy myself and if a connection happens, a connection happens.
In the summer you were given the name ‘Messy Mitch’, and a name that you have taken on as your own, can we expect more of the same in the series? I’ll be honest, I don’t really plan on being ‘Messy Mitch’. It just depends on what day of the week it is. I wear my emotions on my sleeve and what you see is what you get. I am very honest and very opinionated and I think that’s what people like me for. If I don’t agree with something, I’m not going to hold it back.
