Tiffany Haddish has finally shot down the rumors that she secretly welcomed a baby with Hollywood Unlocked host Jason Lee.
The 45-year-old comic and the gay podcast host set off a whirlwind of speculation by posting a viral photo of themselves with an infant.
‘Cats out the bag,’ Jason quipped in the caption – only for fans to take the joke seriously and fly into an instant frenzy of speculation.
Now, Tiffany has finally put paid to all the conjecture during her guest-hosting gig on Jimmy Kimmel Live! this Tuesday evening.
‘Even my own relatives was asking if I had a secret baby,’ she said during her opening monologue: ‘which is kind of insulting because they all are living in my house and blocking me from getting any d***.’
She then revealed that Jason was sitting in the audience, where he chimed in: ‘The whole world has lost their mind over this beautiful baby.’

‘We just took a picture with a baby and then that went crazy so now we got a godbaby,’ Tiffany said. ‘Yeah I went ahead and made it our godbaby. You the daddy.’
Jason observed that he and Tiffany, who are longtime friends, were both ‘former foster kids,’ drawing attention to how ‘important’ adoption is.
Tiffany added: ‘Jason, the offer still is on the table if you wanna make a real baby together,’ prompting him to remind her that he is ‘still gay.’
She told the audience: ‘So just to be clear, I did not have a baby, but I am open to it, wide open to it. I even have a list of potential baby daddies.’
Asking Jason to rate her picks, she rattled off a joke list of potential celebrity mates, including Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt and New York Yankees player Giancarlo Stanton.
She and Jason previously discussed the possibility of having a child together on his Hollywood Unlocked podcast last November, possibly ironically.
‘You did promise me you would give me a kid,’ he said, asking if she was ‘serious about that,’ to which Tiffany responded that she was.
Jason however confirmed that he had no plans to conceive ‘the old-fashioned way,’ which opened the door to Tiffany’s questions about the ‘cost’ of the process.

Tiffany, who suffers from endometriosis, revealed in 2023 that she had undergone multiple miscarriages that she described as ‘as painful as a motherf***er.’
She theorized that the experience may have been ‘God’s birth control,’ advising her: ‘He is not the one. That is not who you are supposed to be having a baby with,’ on the Broad Ideas podcast hosted by Rachel Bilson.
Back in 2020 while she was dating the rapper Common, Tiffany remarked on his podcast that she wanted to ‘foster or adopt kids’ between the ages of six and 10.
By the following year, however, she revealed that she had enacted a ‘pause’ on her plans to have children because her career had ‘picked up,’ via Us Weekly.
She wound up in foster care as a child because of her mother’s schizophrenia, which was thought to be brought on by brain damage in a car crash.
Tiffany, who was nine at the time of her mother’s car accident, cycled through a variety of foster homes before landing in the care of her grandmother.
‘I grew up in the foster care system, and I was getting moved around from house to house with my things in trash bags, and that made me feel like garbage,’ she said.
She found out about one shift when she ‘came home from school and they were like: “You’re moving to another place,” and then they said: “We already packed all your stuff.” Then I get to the new place, I open up the bag, the trash bag. “OK, that’s what they have.” All my stuff and it’s none of my stuff.’

Her foster guardians ranged from ‘the most ghettoist female to the most Hispanic, Spanish family,’ she shared with CBS News.
‘You know, I learned to play the accordion. Like, you know, they got a mariachi band especially like I’ve learned from so many different types of people.’
Tiffany dated Common from 2020 to 2021, and before that was married to William Stewart from 2008 to 2013, before she became a star.
In 2022 a woman claimed that when she and her brother were children, Tiffany and fellow comic Aries Spears had cast them in sexually charged comedy sketches.
One bit involved an underage girl using a sandwich to mimic oral sex, while another starred Aries as a pederast lusting after the girl’s brother.

Back in 2020 while she was dating the rapper Common, Tiffany remarked on his podcast that she wanted to ‘foster or adopt kids’ between the ages of six and 10
When the girl came forward with her allegations, she was 22 years old and sued Tiffany and Aries alleging that they had groomed her and her brother.
However she then performed an about-face and requested that her lawsuit against the comedians be dismissed with prejudice.
‘My family and I have known Tiffany Haddish for many years – and we now know that she would never harm me or my brother or help anyone else do anything that could harm us,’ said the plaintiff, who had sued as Jane Doe.
Later that year, Tiffany remarked that she had ‘lost everything, all my gigs, going, everything, gone’ in the wake of the scandal, via TMZ.
She shared that she was ‘relieved’ at the dismissal of the lawsuit and was principally ‘concerned about the kids,’ adding that she no longer speaks to Aries Spears.
