Major TV Star to Miss 2025 Logie Awards Amid Shock Absence

A huge TV star will be notably absent from the upcoming Logie Awards on Sunday.

Robert Irwin, who co-hosts I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! with this year’s Gold Logie nominee Julia Morris, will not be able to support his colleague this year.

Daily Mail can exclusively reveal the conservationist, 21, is not on the attendee list, with Channel 10 confirming his absence on Thursday.

‘Unfortunately, Robert won’t be able to make it this year in light of his upcoming commitments,’ a spokesperson revealed.

Despite his successful foray into TV presenting in recent years, Robert will be jetting out to the US to begin his gruelling rehearsals for Dancing With The Stars.

The TV Week Logie Awards, which are determined by public vote, will take place on Sunday, August 3 at The Star in Sydney and are broadcast live on Seven.

While the exact rehearsal dates for DWTS US are unknown, season 34 is set to premiere on September 16.

The dance competition is known to begin training its stars weeks in advance of filming, with rehearsals reportedly seeing 13-hour long work days.

Robert was confirmed as the first contestant on the upcoming season of DWTS US in April, following his smouldering American ad campaign for Bonds.

His appearance on the competitive dancing series will come a decade after his sister Bindi won the show in 2015 alongside her dancing partner Derek Hough.

Robert will need to be in peak physical health to successfully compete on the challenging competition.

In 2019, Bindi told The Project about the gruelling physical tasks the contestants face in order to perform well on the show.

‘It’s such a challenge. I don’t think people really know how much work goes on behind the scenes, it’s a huge commitment,’ she said.

During her time on the US version of the show, Bindi danced in front of a black-and-white portrait of her father, Steve Irwin.

‘What I think is so wonderful about Dancing With The Stars is that you get to share your journey and your story,’ Bindi said.

Bindi took to social media to share her excitement about her brother appearing on the show.

‘Robert, you are going to absolutely shine in the ballroom. I wish I could express the magnitude of how proud I am of you and everything you have achieved,’ she began.

‘Can’t wait to cheer you on each week as you inspire so many with your strength, kindness and determination. Here’s to an extraordinary journey ahead.’
