Though they have countless of hit songs and awards, Lance Bass and Joey Fatone are not fans of all of *NSYNC’s tracks.

The band members shared three of their tracks that have made them cringe while speaking to People at the Bilt Rewards’ 2023 Winter Holiday House Party in New York on Tuesday.

Fatone, 46, said their three songs from 1997 — Riddle, Here We Go, and I Need Love — make them wince in retrospect.

‘Those ones were a little err…The rest we love. It wasn’t our style. We weren’t a techno group,’ Bass, 44 — who recently reunited with NSYNC band members — added.

‘It was basically the dance music that was in Europe at the time, and obviously at that time crunch was in the States,’ Fatone explained.

‘We tried to do our song kind of stuff in our vibe, but they wanted to do a little bit more dance. So they were three songs that we did that were more European,’ he went on.

They also discussed whether the band would be putting out anymore music.

‘In a perfect world, that would be great, he said, though Fatone added that it may not be possible.

‘It’s just one of those things. You know, everybody has to get that time to get in there to get into the studio. I mean, it took us a minute to do the Trolls song. Everybody has their own lives now. A lot of people are married, have kids.’

‘We want to do it but it’s getting it all together,’ he added.

Last month Bass and Fatone reunited with NSYNC boy band mates Justin Timberlake, 42, JC Chasez, 47, and Chris Kirkpatrick, 51, at a special screening of Trolls Band Together.

Their track ‘Better Place’ — which is their first single since 2002 — features on the new animated movie’s soundtrack.

Timberlake also reprises his voice role as Branch in the DreamWorks Animation sequel, with the rest of NSYNC joining the cast as well.

Fatone voices Ablaze, Chasez voices Hype, Bass voices Boom and Kirkpatrick voices Trickee in the film, which opened in theaters November 17.

The red carpet get-together came two months after their surprise reunion at the MTV Video Music Awards in September.

They had reunited in the past during their performance at the 2013 VMAs as well as in 2018 for the band’s Hollywood Walk Of Fame induction ceremony.

While recently talking to Entertainment Tonight, Bass opened up about reuniting with the group in the studio to record music after a hiatus of two decades. ‘It was pretty emotional, the first time we all got in the studio together.’

He added, ‘Back in March, we decided to, you know, get back together and have some fun and it was like no [time] had passed.’

Bass then admitted, ‘But there was a lot of tears. It was just tears of joy. And it was just a beautiful moment. Like, time does so much, and for us to finally be together, it just feels right.’

In regards to if NSYNC has plans to release more music or go on tour anytime in the near future, Lance revealed, ‘I’ve been telling the fans, like, we don’t have solid plans right now.’

‘Because, you know, we’re waiting for the strike to end. We’ve got things to do. But [the fans are] definitely shaping our future,’ the singer added to the outlet.

Timberlake took a creative turn from his bandmates with the release of his debut solo record Justified in November of 2002, seven months after leaving the band.

The album – which included hits such as Señorita and Rock Your Body – was a commercial and creative success, as Timberlake captured his first Grammys for Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for Cry Me a River.

NSYNC was formed by Chris Kirkpatrick in 1995, with their self-titled debut album released in 1997.

Prior to Better Place, the band recorded their last material in 2002 before going on an indefinite hiatus.
