Married At First Sight Australia’s golden couple Tahnee Cook and Ollie Skelton have split after 16 months of dating.
The pair, who first fell in love on the Channel Nine matchmaking show, announced their separation to Instagram on Wednesday with heart-breaking messages.
Shocking their fans and friends alike, the couple said their ‘lives are taking us in different directions’ but they wish to remain ‘friends’.
Tahnee, 27, kicked things off with a lengthy post to her Instagram page, saying she had ‘genuinely found love’ with the voice actor, 27, but it just wasn’t meant to be.
‘Just as I share the highlights of my life on here, it’s only fair for me to share when things aren’t always fun,’ Tahnee began her lengthy message.

She continued: ‘Sadly, Ollie and I have decided to part ways. Our lives are taking us in different directions and we feel at this stage it’s the best decision for us.
‘From meeting as strangers who got “married”, to genuinely finding love, I’m pretty proud of the time we’ve shared.
‘Our journey together has been such a roller coaster but sometimes relationships just don’t work out – no matter how much you want them to – and that’s okay.’

‘Break ups are never easy but heartbreak is worth it in the pursuit of love,’ she finished.

Ollie went on to say he and Tahnee found it difficult to ‘make it work’ after they finished filming season 10 of MAFS, but said they ‘tried really hard’ until the end.
He also expressed he wants to remain ‘friends’ with Tahnee, and dreams they’ll be ‘just like Jerry and Elaine from Seinfeld post-breakup’.
‘If friendship was the foundation of us before love, I like to think it might be something we can share in the aftermath,’ he added.
Tahnee and Ollie were one of the strongest couples to get paired up on MAFS this year, with the pair hitting it off and becoming best friends right away.
