Natalie Bassingthwaighte encountered a wardrobe malfunction when she attended the Virgin Voyages Resilient Lady Launch event on Tuesday.

The singer posed up a storm alongside Virgin founder Richard Branson in her chrome mini dress, but because the frock was made of actual metal, she set off alarms – literally.

‘Never wear metal! I went off in the metal detector,’ the 48-year-old told Daily Mail Australia at the event.

‘The whole dress went off. I didn’t have to take it off. Security said, “Excuse me you’re wearing metal!”‘

Opting for high glamour, Natalie wore a semi-sheer glistening mini-dress which showed off lots of bust.

She worked her angles in the racy number, which she paired with strappy nude stacked heels.

Natalie went for an equally glam makeup look with a bright red lipstick and channelled old Hollywood with her blonde hair in large curls.

She raved about Virgin Voyages cruises and said she’s taken a few in her time.

‘I don’t know Richard but I went on the luxury escapes cruise overseas. It was was unbelievable, really amazing,’ she told Daily Mail Australia.
