He is living in Brisbane with his family while filming Ron Howard’s survival thriller Eden.
And Daniel Brühl was spotted enjoying some quality time with his wife and kids on Saturday as he enjoyed a well-deserved break from set.
The Spanish-German actor, 45, was spotted leaving his hotel with his wife Felicitas Rombold and their two young sons ahead of a sunny day of exploring.
Daniel was dressed perfectly for Queensland’s summer climes, sporting a loose white T-shirt, blue shorts, sneakers and long socks.
He completed his look with a blue cap worn backwards and pair of sunglasses.

His former model wife meanwhile sported a white-and-yellow striped crop top, khaki mini skirt, sneaker and crew socks.
The couple were seen helping their children into the back of the car before putting several shopping bags in the boot, including one emblazoned with the Rebel sport logo.
It comes as Daniel continues to film Eden alongside an A-list cast of Sydney Sweeney, Vanessa Kirby, Ana de Armas and Jude Law.

The film ‘follows a group of people fuelled by a profound desire for change; in order to turn their back to society they leave everything behind and set their futures on the harsh landscape of the Galapagos,’ according to an IMDB synopsis.
Producers on the thriller – which also includes Howard – informed Deadline last month in October the film ‘explores the human condition in ways that are unexpected, absurd, humorous, sexy, but above all thrilling and deeply suspenseful.’
Both Sweeney and Kirby replaced actresses Daisy Edgar-Jones and Alicia Vikander who had initially been cast in the project.

Noah Pink wrote the screenplay for Eden – which was originally titled: Origin Of Species.
According to Deadline, Hans Zimmer will score the film and this will be the composer’s 10th time collaborating with Ron Howard.
During an interview with Business News Australia earlier this month, Ron expressed his excitement to return to Queensland – which was where he also filmed Thirteen Lives.

‘I have always been impressed with the professionalism and creative spirit of the Australian film community,’ the filmmaker stated.
‘My experience with our Queensland crew on Thirteen Lives only confirmed that and more,’ he added.
‘I’m thrilled with the opportunity to bring Eden to Queensland and continue the collaboration.’
Daniel later changed into a pair of red swim trunks, suggesting a dip may be planned for the day’s activities
