And over the weekend, the now 73-year-old star was spotted on a rare outing in Los Angeles, California looking incredibly youthful.
Instead of her signature auburn hair, she looked almost unrecognizable with long, blonde tresses, which she wore in a messy side braid under a red knit cap.
The actress landed what is widely considered her breakout film role nearly 34 years ago in an acclaimed Western directed by Clint Eastwood.
Before that she dominated the theater scene for over a decade and once starred as a detective on a long-running ABC soap opera.
As for her personal life, the star of stage and screen has dated the likes of George Clooney in the past and even shares a daughter with a five-time Oscar-winning director/actor.

The mystery actress is Frances Fisher.
Fisher stepped out alone in Los Angeles on the afternoon of Sunday, January 11.
The Unforgiven star was bundled up in a black puffer jacket with a fur-trim hood as she made her way through a parking lot.
She completed her outfit with skinny jeans, a black V-neck top and stylish metal toe boots.
She juggled her reusable water bottle and iPhone in one hand as she rummaged through her black zip-up purse.
Fisher is a highly respected Hollywood actress who is best known for playing Kate Winslet’s stern mother Ruth DeWitt Bukater in Titanic, which also starred Leonardo DiCaprio.
Born in Milford on Sea, England on May 11, 1952, Fisher was raised by her American parents but frequently moved and lived in different countries, including Brazil and France, due to her father’s job at an oil refinery.
Her mother died when she was just 15 years old.
Fisher found her love of acting while attending high school in Texas.
From there, Fisher embarked on an impressive theater career in New York City, where she studied under famed acting coach Lee Strasberg at the Actors Studio.

She made her major TV debut in 1976 as Detective Deborah Saxon in the CBS daytime soap opera The Edge of Night. She appeared on the show until 1981.
Her other notable television credits include: Guiding Light, Roseanne, Grey’s Anatomy, Matlock, Two and a Half Men and, most recently, Watchmen on HBO.
Fisher’s film debut came in 1983 in the R-rated comedy Can She Bake a Cherry Pie?
Six years later, she would be cast alongside Clint Eastwood in the action flick Pink Cadillac.
The co-stars struck up a romance in the late 1980s that lasted around six years and resulted in the birth of their only child together, daughter Francesca Eastwood, 32, in 1993.
Before that, Fisher had been married to a man named Billy Mack Hamilton from 1970 to 1972.

Fisher became a grandmother for the first time in 2018 with the birth of Francesca’s son Titan, whom she shares with longtime boyfriend Alexander Wraith.
The couple welcomed their second child, another baby boy, in October 2025. Francesca has yet to reveal the child’s name.
In 2019, Fisher gave rare comment about being a grandmother and how much she enjoys it.
‘Oh my God, I love it. Having so much fun. Yeah, having so much fun. I babysit as much as I can,’ she told Closer Weekly.

‘She is fabulous. She is so in love with this little baby. It’s so wonderful to see that aspect of her personality come out.
‘I’m just hoping that she realizes how much time and energy I put into her because she’s doing that to him now,’ Fisher said of Francesca’s firstborn.
