Candy Spelling raised eyebrows this week after a seemingly edited image of her on the front cover of a local Los Angeles magazine went viral.
The 80-year-old, who is the mother of actress Tori Spelling, looked completely unrecognizable on the cover of Westlake Malibu Lifestyle.
Hundreds of fans commented that the Hollywood socialite appeared decades younger than her years, with many comparing her to influencer Trisha Paytas and Rihanna, both 37.
Despite many mocking the image, Spelling herself has publicly thanked Fadil Berisha, the photographer behind the shoot, calling it ‘amazing’.
‘Thank you for making me feel so beautiful! You are so amazing and sweet, supportive! I can’t thank you enough!!!’ she commented on Instagram.

Berisha has shot countless celebrities in the past, including actress Isabella Rossellini, model Tyra Banks, TV host Maria Menounos, and reality star Kris Jenner.Â
His skills behind the camera certainly helped take a flattering portrait of Spelling.
In the cover photo, the socialite and philanthropist struck a thoughtful pose in a ruffled white shirt as her long blonde hair cascaded down her shoulders.
Her complexion looked remarkably youthful, giving Spelling the appearance of someone much younger than her eighty years.
Fans in the comments section were stunned by her new look, with many comparing her to celebrities half her age.
‘Is Candy in the room with us? It looks like Trisha Paytas,’ commented one.
‘I thought this was the gorgeous queen of Potomac, Gizelle Bryant,’ wrote another.

Speaking to the publication about her life with late husband Aaron Spelling, Spelling admitted that she struggled to find herself after the legendary producer died in 2006.
‘For almost four decades, my job was to raise our two beautiful children, entertain, and create the stable homelife Aaron needed so he could be out there in the Hollywood trenches,’ she shared.
‘When Aaron died, I not only lost my life partner, but I was also suddenly missing the force of nature who had defined me and our family,’ she continued.
‘For the first time in 38 years, I had to learn to function in the big, scary world on my own.’Â

After Aaron’s passing, Spelling reinvented herself as a successful Broadway producer.
Her work earned a Tony Award for 2016’s The Color Purple, which starred Cynthia Erivo and Jennifer Hudson.
As for her personal life, it’s no secret that Spelling has had a rocky relationship with her only daughter Tori, but the pair have become closer since Tori split from Dean McDermott in 2023 after 18 years together.Â
‘I love my daughter, and I support her in whatever she does. I support my daughter, what can I tell you?’ Spelling told TMZ at the time.
Spelling also said that she would be willing to help Tori with financial support if her daughter needed it.
