X Factor star Lucie Jones has revealed that she’s pregnant with her first child.

The Welsh singer and actress, 34, shared the happy news on social media on Thursday, revealing that her baby girl is due in July.

Alongside a slew of photos of herself showing off her blossoming bump with her partner George Hersey, Lucie wrote: ‘We’re so excited and beyond happy to tell you we’re having a baby.

‘Nothing comes close to this feeling, we feel like the luckiest people in the world.

‘She’ll be here in July and we cannot wait to meet our little girl.’

The singer has enjoyed a whirlwind romance with George, a restaurateur, since last year, when her eight-year marriage to Ethan Borian ended in divorce.

But despite still being in the ‘honeymoon period’ of their relationship, the pair have in fact been friends for many years.

Since finding fame on the X Factor in 2009, Lucie has enjoyed a stellar career in musical theatre.

Having first played Cosette in Les Misérables opposite Nick Jonas in 2012, she then rose to prominence playing the tragic role of Eponine at the Sondheim theatre, for which she won the 2019 Whatsonstage Award for Best Supporting Actress in a musical.

Most recently, Lucie has returned to the West End juggernaut once again, this time, starring as Fantine at the Sondheim theatre until April.
