Blue Ivy has been a pretty constant figure on stage during her mother Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour.
Originally, the 11-year-old daughter of Beyonce, 42 and Jay-Z, 53, was only supposed to dance in one of her mothers shows but she enjoyed it so much she asked to do more.
And some fans came for the child with criticism about her dance moves.
Blue Ivy saw all those negative comments, unfortunately. But instead of giving up, it motivated the tween to be better.
‘Though she finally relented, Beyoncé was dismayed when Blue Ivy read comments on social media that criticized her lackluster moves,’ the New York Times review of the Renaissance film said.

‘But it thrilled her mother that instead of quitting, she decided to put in the work and train even harder for future stops.’
Twitter/X users were shocked at this news, or, at least the users who didn’t originally shame the child for her dance ability were.
One Twitter user wrote: ‘blue ivy read the comments y’all made on her dancing with her own eyes, & STILL decided to train even harder. that’s what we call a QUEEN!’
Another one called out the detractors, writing: ‘They’re in the quotes saying ‘that’s how you take constructive criticism’ as if this is not an 11 years old kid that shouldn’t have been called all kinds of names by grown ppl for not being a top performer.’
And someone criticized that comment: ‘She should’ve listened to the professional performer that hired professional performers who said she wasn’t ready. She f**ked around and found out. She’s better for it now. Get a grip.’
The Single Ladies singer also said in the film that performing in front of tens of thousands was no place for an 11-year-old.

And she almost passed out the first time her daughter joined her onstage. ‘She told me she was ready to perform, and I told her no,’ the mom of three said in the film.
Dad Jay-Z is proud too, telling Gayle King on CBS Mornings last month: ‘I still get goosebumps seeing her walk onstage.
‘She’s been born into a life she didn’t ask for. So since she was born, she’s been in scrutiny and the public eye and everyone having an opinion of even a little girl, how she keeps her hair,’ he said.
‘So for her to be on that stage and reclaim her power, and the song is called My Power, you can’t write a better script.’
