Lorna, 43, has kept Instagram followers regularly updated on husband John’s progress since the former banker was diagnosed with stage four adrenal cancer in 2023.
But the 64-year old’s condition worsened over the festive period and the couple have since been given the devastating news that further preventative treatments are no longer an option.
Sharing her latest post on Sunday, she wrote: ‘John’s condition has worsened and he was hit with sepsis over Christmas.
‘He’s back home with me now, but we’ve been told his cancer has progressed to other organs so treatment is no longer an option.
‘But one thing about John, in the 16 years we’ve been married, his mindset has never wavered. We’re looking for a bit of a miracle.’
Lorna originally confirmed her husband’s organ failure in December, the result of complications with his chemotherapy treatment.
She explained: ‘My man is back in hospital… and while we’re both putting a brave face on it, this past few days haven’t been easy.
‘A complication with his chemo left him with organ failure and two days ago the intensive care team were preparing me for the worse. But John isn’t the average patient and he’s somehow defied the odds, showing improvement every step of the way.

‘It’s a struggle here to get the balance right, I want to respect his privacy but also be honest about how things are going. He’s been telling me off for not posting, even asking me today why I’d not shared an update so this is as much for him as for you.’
She added: ‘We’re both so grateful for the messages of support and the genuine kindness {and giggles} you’ve given us.
‘I don’t think I’d have got through this year without you and the community we’ve all built, it’s become a lifeline for me so thank you with all my heart.’
Lorna, who has over 1.6 million followers on Instagram, is one of the UK’s leading luxury lifestyle influencers.

In April 2023, John was diagnosed with stage three cancer and underwent chemo. He went into remission a year later in 2024.
In May 2024, Lorna revealed John’s cancer had returned – moving to his brain as well as coming back in his adrenal gland.
The influencer said publicly documenting John’s illness has helped her cope, with supportive messages from followers providing ‘exactly what I needed’ during difficult times.
‘When the chips are down, you just want to see people getting behind you’, Lorna explained. ‘I haven’t got brothers or sisters. I haven’t got a massive family unit.’
‘When John was in hospital, I would come home overnight, get myself a glass of wine and I would be sat there replying to all these messages. They were all just full of love, really nice – exactly what I needed at that time.’
