North West, 12, reveals MORE finger piercings after backlash over ‘risky’ procedure

Kim Kardashian’s tween daughter North West has seemingly revealed more finger piercings despite fan concern over the ‘risky’ procedure.

The 12-year-old, whose father is controversial rapper Kanye West, first debuted a dermal piercing on her middle right finger back in August 2025, which consisted of two small silver balls below her knuckle on her middle finger.

Dermal piercings are unlike traditional piercings because the jewelry is held in place by a small anchor inserted under the skin.

Kardashian has faced backlash for letting North get the piercing as a minor due to the potential risks that come with it, including infection, keloid scarring or even rejection if not properly cared for.

North herself fired back at critics on TikTok last month and now the young social media star appears to have added two more finger piercings to her collection.

The Daily Mail has reached to representatives for North’s mother Kim Kardashian for comment but has yet to hear back. 

In a photo shared to her Instagram Story on Tuesday, January 13, North unveiled what looked like two dermal piercings on her left middle finger and left ring finger.

Just like her right hand, she now has two small silver balls sticking out of each finger near her knuckles.

North posed for the IG Story photo with her fist aimed straight at the camera, blocking most of her face.

She had the blue, waist-length hair she’s been wearing as of late and was dressed in a pricey Balenciaga T-shirt and sunglasses.

The nepo baby further accessorized her look with a flashy diamond skull and cross bones chain necklace.

North previously teased her new piercings on Sunday, January 11 in a brief video shared to the TikTok account she shares with her reality TV star mom.

Captioned ‘#northforever,’ Kanye West’s daughter recorded herself making faces at the camera and briefly threw up her pierced left hand as she mouthed the lyrics to xaviersobased’s viral hit Love Hate.

Fans of North didn’t appear to notice her new additions as most of the comments on the post were complimenting the 12-year-old’s ‘vibes’ and unique fashion style.

Less than two weeks ago, North sparked body modification speculation when she appeared on social media with what appeared to be a piercing going through the bridge of her nose.

However, the Daily Mail later learned that North was wearing a piercing sticker, which is a temporary, adhesive piece of jewelry designed to mimic the look of a real bridge piercing.

While her nose piercing was a fake, the piercing on her right hand that she first debuted during a trip with her mom in Italy in August 2025 is believed to be real.

She had also uploaded since-deleted photos that offered a look into the process of getting the piercing, per screenshots taken by The Sun. 

Just last month, North clapped back at critics over her finger piercing in a TikTok video.

North filmed a short selfie video as a soundbite played the background saying, ‘Why are you crying? How old are you? Just pull it together.’

She also added text over the reel which read: ‘this is for everyone that’s mad over a finger piercing.’ 

Kardashian has also spoken out in her daughter’s defense.

The 45-year-old SKIMS founder left a comment on a TikTok video in October posted by the user @mazzy_williams who was heartbroken over North’s controversial piercing.

‘north west getting a finger piercing is breaking my heart, just me?’ she had written over a clip of herself throwing her hand over her mouth. The caption had read, ”what is going on #northwest #kardashians.’ 

In the comment section of the video, Kardashian simply wrote, ‘it’s okay.’ 

Fans offered their mixed reaction to North’s bling at the time, with one saying, ‘It’s such a non-issue.’ 

However, another shared, ‘She’s literally 12 lol she’s a child and that’s a pretty permanent decision.’

Along with her finger bling, North has received backlash for appearing online wearing fake face tattoos, blue hair, makeup and grillz.

During an appearance on Complex’s GOAT Talk YouTube series in November, Kardashian revealed her daughter’s response to the backlash.

‘She was like, ‘I don’t get it. It’s a Halloween costume. It’s all fake,” the TV personality said.

Kardashian then explained that it had been North who actually responded with, ‘This is such a non-issue’ in the comment section of a post in October, which was originally believed to have been written by Kardashian.

‘She takes my phone, and she writes back to a comment, and she goes, ‘This is such a non-issue.’ Then online, it was like, ‘Kim defends North to the end on this look.’ That’s a good clapback.’

The All’s Fair actress then labeled that harsh criticism from trolls as both ‘disturbing’ and ‘horrible.’

‘North, if she ever posts a TikTok, it’s on my phone, so she has to ask my approval, and then I post it, whatever. The comments, all that’s on my phone.’

The star added, ‘So her and her girlfriends, they love doing costumes, they love doing looks, and so, it’s Halloween season, so they put on fake tattoos on their face, fake piercings.

‘They all had their colored hair. They looked like an opium Powerpuff Girls … [that’s] what they were going for.’

While appearing on the Call Her Daddy podcast in October, Kardashian reflected on her eldest daughter’s bold style as well as her maturity.

‘She’s really mature in one sense where she’ll be like, ‘Mom, I saw this and I don’t really care that they don’t like… my blue hair or this or that.’ She’s really confident and is like, ‘I probably wouldn’t be hanging out with those people.”

When it comes to fashion mistakes and allowing North to wear certain looks, the star asked for a ‘little bit of grace.’

‘I’m like, okay, we’re never wearing that again. Unfortunately, we made that mistake in front of the whole world,’ Kardashian said while also adding that ‘as a mom, you’re kind of like learning at the same time.’

Along with North, Kardashian shares daughter Chicago, seven, and sons Saint, 10, and Psalm, six, with ex-husband Kanye, who she divorced in 2021. The rapper is now married to Bianca Censori, 30.
