Louis Tomlinson has seemingly avoided talking about Zayn Malik in a new interview amid claims that the pair were involved in a ‘physical altercation’ during filming for their upcoming Netflix series.
The former One Direction bandmates are believed to have ‘fallen out’ after they reunited for a brand new road trip show, according to The Sun.
It is reported that the pair were involved in a physical disagreement following a day of filming.
And now Louis, 34, has avoided speaking in depth about Zayn, 33, in a new interview with Billboard, as he gushed about the talents of his other two former bandmates, Harry Styles, 31, and Niall Horan, 32.
Louis made a slight nod to the star when asked about the upcoming show as he said: ‘It was his idea, actually. I’ll give him credit for that brilliance.’
But elsewhere in the interview, Louis raved over Harry and Niall and their solo successes.

‘I always knew Harry was going to go on to do what he’s done — I’m sure he’s superseded his own expectations in the way that he’s taken over the world, but we knew he’s got everything it takes to be a great artist,’ he said.
‘And Niall, I had a good feeling about too — he’s Irish, he’s lovely, everyone loves him.’
Louis also explained though that since the tragic death of Liam Payne, the bandmates have become closer.
Liam died in October 2024, after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and was found to have alcohol and cocaine in his system.
Louis said: ‘We are definitely closer than we were. It changes from person to person.
‘Like Niall, we could not exchange a text in a whole year and then go for a beer and literally chat non-stop.’
The Daily Mail has contacted Louis and Zayn’s representatives for a comment.
It was previously reported that Zayn and Louis had signed a multi-million pound deal to travel the US, discuss their lives and reflect on memories from their days in the band.

Sources close to the production revealed the pair were likely to discuss the tragic death of their friend and bandmate Liam Payne.
An insider previously told The Sun: ‘This will be an absolutely huge show for Netflix and is guaranteed to whip 1D’s global army of fans into a frenzy.
‘Although the idea of British boyband members doing a show about travelling across America sounds random, most of them now have strong links Stateside.
‘And it’s likely to be a chance for some serious soul-searching and deep discussions about the incredible journey the group have already been on since they were formed on The X Factor 15 years ago.’
Zayn has lived in America permanently since 2018, while Louis devotes a large part of his time there thanks to his nine-year-old son with stylist Briana Jungwirth.
Earlier this year Zayn gave a shoutout to Louis after he attended his Los Angeles concert at the Shrine Exposition Hall.
His relationship with his old bandmates became strained when he quit the band in March 2015.
One Direction found superstardom after appearing on the X Factor in 2010 and went on to sell a whopping 70 million records worldwide.
They won almost 200 awards, including seven Brit Awards, four MTV Music Awards, six Billboard Music Awards, seven American Music Awards, and 28 Kids’ Choice Award.
Back in October, Louis remained coy about the upcoming documentary when he appeared on Capital Radio.

Host Jimmy Hill said: ‘I saw you and Zayn have been hanging out a little bit. I don’t know if this is confirmed but the rumour is you are making a road trip show or something for Netflix.’
Grinning, Louis replied: ‘I’ve heard the rumours, apparently so.’
As the DJ tried to push him into confirming the show was officially in the works, Louis said: ‘Well, I’ve heard the rumours same as you.
‘It’s not something I can really talk about too much. I know you’re desperate to talk about it and I understand that, but it’s not really something we can discuss much yet.’
