Chelsea Handler has scathing assessment of ‘total dud’ Tom Brady amid rumored romance with Alix Earle

Chelsea Handler did not mince her words while sharing her thoughts about Tom Brady seemingly flirting with TikTok sensation Alix Earle earlier this month.

While appearing on SiriusXM’s Page Six Radio, the comedian, 50, delivered a blistering assessment of the dating rumors surronding the retired NFL star, 48, and 25-year-old social media influencer.

‘I have no interest in Tom Brady. I don’t find him dynamic, hot, interesting, or fun. Like, and I don’t, I find him so boring,’ the New York Times bestselling author explained.

She continued: ‘I think he’s a total dud. I couldn’t, I mean, so I don’t have any thoughts, and I don’t really know that enough about Alix Earle. So, I don’t care to answer your question. Do I need to expound?’

Handler’s remarks quickly ignited reactions online, with commenters split over her blunt take.

‘She doesn’t find him hot?!?! Is she blind?!?!’ one wrote, while another agreed, ‘100% agree. Total dud.’ Others praised the comedian, writing, ‘I absolutely love her! She is so on point.’

Handler is not the only celebrity to weigh in on the buzz surrounding Brady and Earle.

During the Monday, January 5 episode of Today With Jenna & Friends, Jenna Bush Hager addressed the speculation after Page Six reporters Danny Murphy and Evan Real suggested that Earle placing her hand on Brady’s back during a recent vacation signaled a romantic connection.

‘That could be friendly, no?’ Bush Hager asked, though the reporters insisted the moment appeared more intimate than platonic.

The pair fueled rumors while ringing in the New Year in St. Barts, where they were spotted getting cozy at an ultra-exclusive beach party surrounded by celebrity friends. 

Videos showing Earle rubbing Brady’s back and Brady pulling her in by the waist quickly went viral, sparking intense online speculation.

Last week, a source close to Earle confirmed to the Daily Mail that the influencer was enjoying a flirtation with Brady, despite their nearly 23-year age gap.

‘She said she was just having fun,’ the insider said. ‘She’s definitely one to laugh about [the viral moment]. It’s typical Alix – she’s not doing anything wrong. Just enjoying spending time with him and yes, getting flirty.’

The source added that Brady is ‘100 percent her type,’ even though she typically dates men closer to her age, and said she is ‘open to possibilities’ and ‘could have a new perspective on dating going into the new year.’

‘He’s handsome, an athlete and worth millions…,’ the insider added. ‘Who wouldn’t be crushing on someone like him?’

However, the potential pairing could face friction due to their vastly different relationships with fame. While Earle has built an empire by openly documenting her life online, Brady is known to guard his privacy closely.

One source told the Daily Mail that Brady was cautious during their New Year’s Eve outing.

‘There was lots of flirting, but Tom is always aware of his surroundings and isn’t going to get caught in a hot hook-up unless he wants to,’ the source said. ‘He does his courting behind closed doors.’

‘It isn’t far-fetched that this could develop into something. After all, Alix is single, and she’s going to do what she wants to do and go after what she wants. But Tom is definitely in the driver’s seat.’

Another insider echoed those concerns to Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice newsletter, calling the viral footage a ‘huge red flag.’

‘Tom values discretion above everything else,’ the source said. ‘He’s already suspicious about how these videos of him and Alix leaked. That’s a huge red flag. He’s not interested in a girlfriend who broadcasts every detail of her life.’

Earle recently ended her relationship with NFL player Braxton Berrios, announcing their split in early December.

In a tearful TikTok video, she told fans: ‘Braxton and I are no longer together. We have been doing long distance since basically June and we haven’t gotten to see each other that often.’

‘It’s been really hard to process in general, and I think why I’ve been scared to say something is because I feel like it just makes it more real.’

Brady, meanwhile, has been linked to several high-profile women since his October 2022 divorce from Gisele Bündchen. 

The former couple share two children, Benjamin, 16, and Vivian, 13.

Since the split, Brady has been connected to Brooks Nader, Sofia Vergara, Irina Shayk and Kim Kardashian.
