Bradley Cooper skips Golden Globes for cozy dinner date with girlfriend Gigi Hadid after shock snub

Bradley Cooper and girlfriend Gigi Hadid were all smiles as they skipped the 2026 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday night in favor of a relaxed double dinner date with friends in Santa Monica. 

While one of Hollywood’s biggest nights played out across town, the A-list couple were photographed arriving at and later leaving the celebrity hotspot Giorgio Baldi, beloved by stars like Rihanna, Justin and Hailey Bieber, Taylor Swift and Beyoncé.

Unlike his industry peers, Leonardo DiCaprio and Timothée Chalamet, who suited up for the awards ceremony, Cooper opted for a more casual look as he stepped out in a gray Eagles T-shirt, jeans and sneakers before climbing behind the wheel following dinner.

Hadid, meanwhile, kept things effortlessly chic for the outing, wearing blue jeans, a white buttoned-up coat-style sweater and carrying a brown Miu Miu leather handbag.

Later in the evening, the couple were seen laughing and chatting inside a car alongside friends, with the supermodel sitting in the passenger seat.

The Vogue cover girl flashed a wide grin as she gazed adoringly at Cooper, who appeared just as happy. 

Cooper’s Globes absence came after his latest directorial venture, Is This Thing On?, starring Will Arnett and Laura Dern, failed to receive a single nomination.

He and Hadid, who is 21 years his junior, were first romantically linked in October 2023, when they were seen grabbing dinner together in New York City.

They were later spotted on several public outings, and a source told People in December that year that they were getting ‘more serious.’

‘They were quietly dating for much longer before it went public and were very hush-hush, trying to see if things would work between them,’ the insider said at the time, adding, ‘They had several months together privately and things have been going really well.’

In January 2024, Cooper and Hadid attended a Golden Globes afterparty together – with the actor’s mother also joining them – before making their first public kiss a few months later during a dinner with friends.

By October last year, Hadid confirmed Cooper’s support while she walked the runway at the 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.

‘He’s watching from home tonight,’ she told Entertainment Tonight. ‘He is on dad duty, but so supportive.’

Cooper shares daughter Lea, eight, with ex and fellow model Irina Shayk, while Hadid is mom to daughter Khai, five, whom she welcomed with former One Direction singer Zayn Malik.

Earlier this year, Hadid offered rare insight into her relationship with Cooper during a Vogue interview, describing how the actor has given her a sense of normalcy when it comes to dating. 

‘He has opened me up to going to the theater more, and that’s something that’s so nice to bring back into my life,’ she said, later adding, ‘I just feel really lucky.’

She also gushed about Cooper again at the Met Gala in May, revealing she spent the morning with him before the star-studded event.

‘I woke up. I was with my man. We had a chill morning, some laughs, you know,’ Hadid shared, before admitting she fueled up on ‘chicken fingers and fries’ ahead of the night.

Hadid later went Instagram official with Cooper when she shared snaps from her 30th birthday celebration, including a photo of the pair kissing shortly after she blew out the candles on her cake.

Last month, the couple were seen holding hands at the Vogue October issue cocktail party in New York City – and sources have since told the Daily Mail the pair are already thinking about the future.

Insiders claim Cooper has asked Hadid’s mother, Yolanda Hadid, for permission to propose, as the couple eye a possible 2026 wedding.

‘Bradley asked Yolanda for Gigi’s hand in marriage,’ a source said. ‘He wants her to know how serious he is about Gigi and how he plans to build a solid family with her in New York.’
