The Traitors star Amanda said she suffered a horrific bike crash that left her in the ‘most pain of her life’ and needing emergency surgery.
Speaking in an interview on Sunday, the retired senior detective, 57, recalled how she crash at speed into a wall while riding a bicycle.
Amanda, who was banished from the castle earlier this week, was on holiday with her wife Caroline in 2022 when she suffered a broken collar bone which needed operating on.
She said: ‘We were in a camper van in the Loire Valley and decided to have a bike ride on the last day.
‘Caroline accidentally clipped my wheel and it sent me headfirst into a flint wall. I was wearing a helmet but realised I had to turn my body or I would break my neck.’
Amanda learnt that she would need an operation to fix her broken bone after ‘smashing her shoulder’ on the rock.

She added to The Sun: ‘My shoulder smashed into the hard rock. I have never been in so much pain. I had to be pumped full of morphine.’
Amanda said that while she ‘was fine’ doing the challenges on The Traitors, after having metal inserted into her collarbone she still suffers ‘twinges.’
Following her banishment from the show on Thursday, Amanda was left gobsmacked when she discovered the truth about her ‘best friend’ Rachel while Maz revealed his own secret.
Joining the spin-off show Uncloaked, the retired senior detective was handed an envelope in which the names of the three Traitors were finally revealed to her.
Maz discovered their identities when he was murdered face-to-face at the start of the episode, after being left in a cage overnight and ultimately murdered.
Later on Amanda, being one of the nine up for murder, decided to turn to her closest friend in the castle, Rachel, and revealed her former job in the Met Police.
Fans at home of course knew the almighty blunder that Amanda had made as she unknowingly told a Traitor her secret.
Speaking to Maz after their respective departures, she told him about her former role, to which he replied: ‘Well Amanda, I’ve also got a secret, I am a retired police officer.’

Maz then handed over an envelope containing all three of their names, Amanda gasped: No! Oh my God! No way… Rachel! ‘Brilliant. All I can say is… I was saying earlier that I hope she wins’
He went on to ask who she thought might be amongst the Traitors, with Amanda explaining: ‘I can’t go there because I just don’t know.
‘Jade was on my radar but for no reason. She did a few odd things… but she just seems quite shy.’

Speaking to hosts Ed Gamble and Wilfred Webster, she added: ‘In a split second I thought, I look really stupid.
‘She was my best friend in the castle. But she’s just brilliant.
‘Every day I was thinking why have I not been murdered, I would murder me. I wanted to tell Rachel because she could use it for good… or evil.
‘Watching it, it just looks ridiculous. I deserved to be banished. I had all this information in my head and I just wanted to help. But I got called an influencer.’
