Gwyneth Paltrow’s sex scenes with Timothee Chalamet in Marty Supreme had one member of her household cringing – her 19-year-old son, Moses.
The actress, 53, let it be known Moses detested seeing his mom get passionate with the 30-year-old actor in the movie, even though it was guided by a professional intimacy coordinator during shooting.
Paltrow made the revelation during a Q&A session for the film at San Vicente Bungalows in West Hollywood on January 9, per People.
The event also featured Demi Moore, who attended the film screening and the following discussion.
Paltrow, who shares Moses and daughter Apple, 21, with ex-husband and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, told Moore: ‘Oh my God! My poor son.
‘Can you imagine when he came to the premiere in L.A.? He wanted to die,’ revealed the wellness guru, who reunited with Leonardo DiCaprio at the 2026 AFI Awards after she revealed she rejected him in the 1990s.

The movie casts Paltrow as Kay Stone, a sophisticated but fading 1930s star who becomes involved with Chalamet’s Marty Mauser, a shoe salesman determined to be the champion of table tennis in 1950s New York.
Back in October 2024, the film’s stars were photographed filming a passionate kissing scene in Central Park, sparking major buzz due to their age gap and Chalamet’s hunky image.
‘I mean, we have a lot of sex in this movie,’ Paltrow told Vanity Fair in March 2025. ‘There’s a lot – a lot.’
The interviewer then asked: ‘So… you’re in a lot of vulnerable positions with him?’ and Paltrow answered with emphasis, ‘Beyond.’
The Shakespeare In Love actress went on to say the bountiful amounts of sex in the movie were all overseen by a professional on set.
‘There’s now something called an intimacy coordinator, which I did not know existed,’ Paltrow told the publication.
Paltrow said she was asked by the intimacy coordinator if she would be agreeable with a specific sequence.
‘I was like, “Girl, I’m from the era where you get naked, you get in bed, the camera’s on,”‘ she recalled.
The Oscar-winner said that when her son Moses came to the movie’s L.A. premiere, ‘He wanted to die’

Paltrow shared that Moses was ‘kind of mortified’ when photos of her shooting that kissing scene with her hunky co-star made headlines; Moses pictured in December 2025
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in December, Paltrow was asked if it was true that her friends texted her after seeing the actress kiss Chalamet.
Chalamet, of course, is a hot young actor in Hollywood known for dating Lily-Rose Depp, Eiza Gonzalez, Lourdes Leon and currently Kylie Jenner.
The star confirmed that and added, ‘Blowing up. Blow–ing–up! I have my L.A. mom close friends and my English mummy friends, and they were all texting me.
‘They know I don’t look at any rubbish sites, so they’re all sending me these pictures, like, “Yessss, G.P.!” Everyone was thrilled.’
Paltrow also shared that her daughter Apple and son Moses had very different reactions to the kissing snaps.
‘I mean, my daughter’s so cool and so punk rock that she’s like, “Mom, this is awesome!”’ the Goop founder began.
‘And my son was like, “Oh my God, I don’t want to see this.” He was kind of mortified.’
At the time, she felt they would welcome the movie.

‘I do think they’re actually excited to see this film because now they’re grown up and they can make this separation.
‘I’m sure they’ll gag when I’m having a make-out scene, of course. But it’s funny, they haven’t really seen me in movies.’
At the end of the day, she conceded she is just mommy to them: ‘Historically, they like me home, as Mom, and they don’t like to engage with the outside perspective of who I am.’
Marty Supreme, which was released December 25, also stars Odessa A’zion, Kevin O’Leary, Tyler Okonma, Abel Ferrara and Fran Drescher and was directed by Josh Safdie.
