Danny Dyer has dropped a major hint he may have signed up for Celebrity Traitors after rejecting the idea last year.

Producers of the hit BBC show are said to be desperate to bag the EastEnders star – but he has form for turning down such gigs.

Danny, 47, has repeatedly said no to reality TV stints, including for both ITV’s I’m A Celebrity and BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing.

Now, his daughter Dani, 29, has given fans a huge hint he may be joining.

Speaking to The Sun, she said she was asked about going on the show, but let it slip about her father.

‘I wouldn’t be good at Traitors. My dad would be good at it.’

Dani added: ‘With that kind of show I’m more than happy to be a viewer. I would be a terrible player and a terrible traitor. I loved Kate Garraway.

‘How could anyone think she was a traitor. I have loved the Traitors. It’s the first time I’ve watched it and I’m annoyed I didn’t watch it sooner. What a fantastic series.’

Danny previously said on the Live And Let Dyer podcast with his daughter that he had been approached to do the show but said no because he had never watched it.

He said: ‘I’m into it – they did sniff round me about it, I’d never seen it so it was a no from me because for one I hadn’t seen it but now I’m into it.

‘If you’re going to do it, if you’re famous, it needs to be an indulgence project, you have to love the game.’

He added: ‘It’s quite a simple game, I thought it was too complicated.. but it’s actually just about people manipulating people and a lot of lyin’.

‘If you’re a faithful it’s hard – you’re trying to over act that you’re a faithful and it backfires on you but yeah it’s a good line-up and I’m enjoying it.

‘So if the money‘s right… because I might get involved in the next series. I think I’d want to be a Traitor, there’s triple bluffs, double bluffs – it’s more fun to be a Traitor, you’ve got a job!’

Now bosses on Claudia Winkleman’s iconic series are holding out hope they can get Danny to sign on the dotted line.

A source last year told The Sun: ‘Danny Dyer is a reality TV booker’s dream signing but for years has turned down every offer.

‘He’s a huge character who effortlessly creates telly magic without even trying, so Traitors bosses have been pursuing Danny hard.

‘They’re doing everything they can to get the deal over the line.’

Many viewers are desperate for the programme to return to our screens, after the BBC confirmed that it would be back for a second season.
