My Kitchen Rules star Colin Fassnidge steps out to enjoy a cup of coffee just a few weeks before he is due in court to face cocaine charges

Colin Fassnidge was spotted heading out for a cup of coffee in Sydney on Friday ahead of his court appearance on January 28.

The My Kitchen Rules judge, 52, was charged with driving under the influence of cocaine when he was stopped for drug and alcohol testing on November 8.

Police from Traffic and Highway Patrol Command conducted the test on Fassnidge at around 3.20pm while he was driving a grey ute on Malabar Road in South Maroubra.

The test allegedly returned a positive result for cocaine.

Just a few weeks before his charges are heard, Fassnidge appeared to be keeping himself busy with errands.

He could be seen holding a coffee cup in hand as he soaked up some sun in Sydney, keeping his face hidden beneath a hat and sunglasses.

The celebrity chef opted for a casual outfit, slipping on a grey T-shirt over a pair of blue and white shorts.

He completed the look with a set of sensible flip-flops.

Last month, Fassnidge was spotted taking a stroll in Sydney just days after reports surfaced about his upcoming court date.

It was the first time he had been spotted since being charged with driving under the influence of cocaine.

He kept a low profile in a cap and sunglasses as he stepped out for a walk with his wife, Jane Hyland.

Fassnidge and Hyland met in 2000 when the chef was working at Sydney’s famous EST restaurant, where his now-wife was an assistant manager.

The pair went on to tie the knot on 8 January, 2006, in the city where they met, overlooking Watson’s Bay.

Fassnidge and Hyland went on to welcome two daughters into the world—Lily, 16, and Maeve, 14.

Fassnidge was charged with driving under the influence of cocaine after he was pulled over for a random drug test in Sydney last November.

A secondary test also allegedly returned positive, with the Irish celebrity chef then being charged with driving a vehicle while an illicit drug was present in his blood.

Fassnidge will face Waverley Court on January 28.

Daily Mail has reached out to Fassnidge’s representatives for further comment.

Fassnidge is best known for his TV appearances, currently sitting as a judge on My Kitchen Rules since 2013.

He is also a presenter on the home lifestyle program Better Homes and Gardens alongside Clarissa Feildel.

The chef previously hosted Kitchen Nightmares Australia in 2022.
