Britney Spears hints she’ll join forces with her SON for comeback but will ‘NEVER’ perform in the US again

She used the Christmas holiday as an excuse to bash her family members on social media.

But Britney Spears made it clear on Thursday that one family members is still in her good graces and could play a key part in her long-awaited musical comeback.

The 44-year-old former pop star shared videos of herself dancing with her son Jayden on Instagram, followed by another post in which she suggested that the 19-year-old might accompany ‘very soon’ when she returns to the stage.

The Daily Mail has reached out to Spears’s reps for comment.

Britney posted a photo snapped years earlier showing her sitting in front of a white Yamaha piano on the edge of the bench as she beamed at the audience. 

‘Sending this piano to my son this year!!!’ she claimed, before seemingly explaining her dance videos with Jayden from earlier in the day.

‘Interestingly enough, I dance on IG to heal things in my body that people have no idea about. Yup and it’s embarrassing sometimes… but I walked through the fire to save my life…’

Spears then shared details for a long-hoped-for series of comeback performances, but she didn’t have any good news to share with her fans located in the United States. 

‘I will never perform in the US again because of extremely sensitive reasons but I hope to be sitting on a stool with a red rose in my hair, in a bun, performing with my son… in the UK and AUSTRALIA very soon,’ she wrote.

Spears gushed,’ He’s a huge star and I’m so humbled to be in his presence!!! God speed, little man!!!’

Spears’s most recent concerts were in 2018 as part of her Pieces Of Me tour.

She seems to have changed her tune about performing, as she claimed in September 2022 that she would never perform again.

In a quickly deleted Instagram post, she bizarrely complained about having to perform on stage with the ‘tiniest girls’ as backup dancers.

Earlier on Thursday, Spears posted another photo from the same meet-up with Jayden, which she captioned with a unicorn emoji, suggesting that she considers him to be rare and unique.

In her videos, the two stood in front of an open French door overlooking a balcony while Jayden recorded a mirror selfie video.

He beamed for the camera as his mother danced and twirled around in a pink dress. 

The post came after Jayden was pictured during an outing in Los Angeles.  

He stopped by the upscale market Erewhon on Wednesday while accompanied by a few close pals. 

While Jayden and Britney reunited over the holidays, the singer’s other son Sean Preston, 20, was unable to fly to California due to a work obligation.

Britney shares her two children with ex-husband Kevin Federline, whom she was married to from 2004 until their divorce three years later. 

A source told People in December: ‘Britney had a fun time celebrating Christmas with Jayden. It’s been such a special holiday.’

Spears has reconnected with her sons following their estrangement, even though Jayden and Sean moved to Hawaii to live with their father in 2023. 

In June 2024, a separate insider revealed to the Daily Mail that the Baby One More Time hitmaker had reconnected with Sean and Jayden, and it was her brother Bryan who helped set up the reunion.

‘Britney has been speaking to, and working on, her relationship with Sean Preston and Jayden for months now,’ the source said.

‘The boys have so much love for their mother, as she does for them. Things are fully back on track and they are looking forward to the future together.’

Spears has publicly given insight into her repaired bond with her kids, and also uploaded a post as she spent time with Jayden over Father’s Day last year in June. 

The performer shared a selfie of the pair as they posed together and wrote in the caption, ‘Went to church today !!! Sang and praised !!!’ 

According to TMZ, Spears’ eldest son Sean was not able to join the pop star and his brother in California for Christmas due to a work obligation in Louisiana. 

Instead, he spent the holiday with his aunt’s family and his grandmother Lynne. 

The singer’s sister Jamie Lynn Spears posted a Christmas snap to social media that featured Sean. 

It appears that Jamie has a close relationship with Sean and Jayden, and the pair reuniting with the Zoey 101 alum’s own kids in a rare photo last year in September.  

But not long after Christmas, the Britney singer issued a biting message to her estranged family and shared an image of a decorated holiday tree along with a sarcastic note on Instagram. 

‘Merry late Christmas to my beautiful family who have never disrespected me, harmed me, ever done anything completely unacceptable or caused unbelievable trauma, the kind you can’t fix,’ she wrote. 

The mother-of-two added: ‘To my dear sweet innocent family … so so sorry I was busy this Christmas but I will definitely show up and surprise you soon … I can’t wait.’

She then gave her seven-year-old niece Ivey a shoutout that took on a sinister tone in the context of her biting post: ‘Hello, beautiful Ivy … I just want to hold you, my love.’

Spears signed off with, ‘Godspeed, friends.’

The pop superstar has had a contentious relationship with her family members for years following her 13-year conservatorship that ended in November 2021. 

In January 2022, the Grammy-winning recording artist publicly called out her sister after her memoir Things I Should Have Said became a bestseller.

Using an Instagram caption to air her grievances, the entertainer said, ‘The timing of your book was unbelievable Jamie Lynn.’

She reiterated that despite her family’s claims that they were unaware, her ‘whole family’ knew about the abuse of her former conservatorship.

Sarcastically, she went on to say, ‘Congrats best seller … I’m not surprised at all. The nerve of you to sell a book now and talk s**t but [you’re] f***ing lying.’

During her fight to be released from her conservatorship, Spears made a series of accusations against her dad.

She told a court at the time: ‘My dad and anyone involved in this conservatorship and my management who played a key role in punishing me, they should be in jail.’

Back in November, Spears had also shared a cryptic post about ‘suffering’ and ‘darkness.’

It came after Spears briefly deleted her Instagram following Federline’s release of his memoir You Thought You Knew. 

In the book, he alleged that Spears had watched their children sleep while standing outside their room holding a ‘knife in her hand’ and also claimed that she used cocaine while breastfeeding.

But after the release of the memoir, Federline revealed that the singer has since spoken and reconnected with her children.

The songstress remains active on Instagram and recently uploaded a reel as she flaunted her dance moves in a sheer ensemble – and suffered a nip slip at one point. 

But she caught the wardrobe malfunction before posting and covered her chest with a flower emoji.
