Pip Edwards has faced backlash after emerging at the beach this week, just hours after a mystery hospital visit.
The P.E Nation designer, 45, sparked concern on Monday after sharing images from an emergency department hospital bed, only to be spotted taking a dip with friends less than a day after being discharged – with her hospital tag still on her wrist and a bandage on her forearm.
However, Daily Mail readers took umbrage with Pip’s beach visit, claiming she was sporting the hospital tag for ‘attention.’
‘I seriously can’t believe she did this, hospital wrist band and all,’ one reader commented.
Another chimed in with a similar comment: ‘Hey paps. I’m going to the beach, make sure you get my hospital band,’ while a third added: ‘Leaving the hospital wrist band on… nice touch there, Pip for that bit of added drama… urghhhh.’
The criticism didn’t end there, either, with another reader adding: ‘She will leave that hospital band on just for more attention.’

‘Anyone who does the hospital pic with no other information or posts “been having a bad time but I don’t want to talk about it” are all the same,’ they added.
‘The down to earth people who just get on with life will see through this, but I don’t think they are the people she surrounds herself with.’
Yet another added: ‘So desperate for attention. When did a hospital tag become a fashion accessory?’
Pip made a miraculous recovery after her hospital visit, heading to Nielsen Park in Sydney’s east for a dip with her friends less than a day after being discharged.
The P.E. Nation designer, 45, wore a bandage on her arm – a hint at the reason for her visit to the emergency room – as well as a hospital tag around her wrist.
Despite a troubling start to the new year, the mother-of-one looked thoroughly relaxed as she slipped into a black bikini and soaked up the sunshine.
Pip completed her look with a printed sarong, sunglasses and a brown baseball cap, and at times slipped on a green-and-yellow tank top.
Earlier in the day, the blonde was spotted shopping for sunglasses with two male friends in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.

Pip wore the same green-and-yellow top, paired with loose brown trousers, as she tried on some stylish frames.
The carefree outing comes after Pip left fans alarmed on Monday when she uploaded a photo of the view from her hospital bed.
‘Five days into 2026 and it’s already giving clinical realism. Gotta love a plot twist,’ she had written next to the Instagram Story post.
She then added an image of a friend visiting her in the hospital to raise her spirits.
‘The best kind of visits,’ Pip wrote across the image, which showed her pal laughing as he stood by her bed.
Pip did not reveal the nature of her ailment, however, according to Confidential, the fashionista found herself in hospital due to ‘extreme exhaustion and stress’.
It came just days after Pip celebrated New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day with her good friend Jackie ‘O’ Henderson.
After a party at a Sydney Harbour mansion to take in the fireworks, Pip met up with Jackie for lunch.

Sitting down for a lavish meal at the trendy Bondi Icebergs bistro, the two looked in good health and excellent spirits.
Pip recently announced that she was taking time away from work to focus on her well-being following the traumatic events that unfolded during a Hanukkah celebration last month.
At least 15 people were killed and dozens more injured when two gunmen opened fire near Bondi Beach, plunging the area into chaos and terror.
Pip, who was caught up in the violence, later revealed she had been forced to hide under a van as the attack unfolded, describing it as the most traumatic day of her life.
Sources close to the fashion designer say that she ‘remains deeply shaken’ and is ‘prioritising her recovery after the ordeal’.
Pip’s decision to pull back from Ksubi, where she held the role of creative director, reflects a need to reassess her priorities following the experience, sources said.
Pip had only recently returned to the iconic label in September 2024, calling the move a ‘full-circle moment’.
She previously worked at Ksubi decades earlier and shares her teenage son Justice with co-founder Dan Single.
