The Beckhams watched on as Adam Peaty made a vow to ‘always choose’ his wife Holly Ramsay in his wedding speech, amid his war with his family.
At the Olympian’s wedding to Gordon Ramsay’s influencer daughter last month, he made the passionate profession to his new wife in what appeared to be a swipe at his family, who he disinvited from the wedding amid a bitter spat.
The moment will have been particuarly poignant for David, 50, and Victoria, 51, who are long-time friends of Holly’s parents, due to their own family spat.
The couple’s eldest son Brooklyn, 26, has been estranged from his family since early last year and in May last year he stated: ‘I always choose you baby’ in a gushing message to his wife Nicola Peltz – and a seeming swipe at his family.
Last week, the couple reached out to their son yet were brutally rebuffed, while Adam’s family feud rages on having began when his mother was not invited to Holly’s swanky Soho Farmhouse hen, where Victoria was in attendance.

Adam, 31, tied the knot with Holly, 25, in an idyllic ceremony at Bath Abbey on December 27, amid a bitter feud which saw his mother Caroline uninvited and his sister Bethany the only relative attending the nuptials.
While he has remained quiet on the intricacies of the feud, Adam’s wedding speech made a resounding statement regarding his loyalties.
Additionally, according to reports in his father of the bride speech Gordon commented on how beautiful Holly looked and told Adam he was a ‘lucky man’, adding: ‘Look at Tana and that’s what you have to look forward to.’
The Sun went on to claim that Gordon couldn’t resist a sly dig at Adam’s absent parents he told his daughter Holly: ‘Shame you don’t have the same.’
The ‘always choose you’ vow was followed by Holly writing ‘our people’ under a pointed family photo of her wedding despite his parents’ absence.
Adam’s speech was undoubtedly hard for David and Victoria to hear amid their feud with Brooklyn, who they approached last week via Instagram with throwback snaps and a profession of their love – yet the comments were ignored.
Back in May, battle lines appeared to be drawn as Brooklyn vowed to ‘always choose’ his wife in the midst of the escalating feud with his devoted parents.

Meanwhile, David was evidently keen to build a bridge over troubled water while sharing a series of family photos with Instagram followers, among them a shot of Brooklyn as a teenager
In one of his many adoring messages aimed at his wife, Brooklyn pledged his unwavering loyalty to Nicola, the daughter of Miami-based billionaire businessman and investor Nelson Peltz, who he wed back in 2022.
In the video, Brooklyn as pictured taking his wife for an early morning motorbike ride along palm-lined streets, close to their southern California home.
In what many took to be a dig at his family, he captioned the short video, he wrote: ‘My whole world x I will love you forever x I always choose you baby x you’re the most amazing person i know xx me and you forever baby.’
The latest heartbreaking twist in the Beckham tale saw Brooklyn reportedly tell friends his relationship with his parents was ‘over’, following months of strain that culminated in David and Victoria being blocked on Instagram.
While the Beckhams spent New Year’s Eve at their Cotswolds home, Brooklyn and Nicola rang in 2026 partying in South Florida.
The comment referenced the widely reported Beckham family tensions, which emerged after Brooklyn and wife Nicola Peltz were absent from Sir David’s 50th birthday celebrations last year (L-R Cruz Beckham, Romeo Beckham, Brooklyn Beckham, Harper Beckham, David Beckham, Victoria Beckham, and Nicola)
Despite David sharing nostalgic family photos online last week – including a throwback image of Brooklyn – insiders claimed the gesture failed to heal the rift.
Over the festive period David’s mum Sandra and Victoria’s mother Jackie Adams reportedly both reached out to Brooklyn after he had been absent from every key family event over the course of the year – among them his father’s milestone 50th birthday celebration and long awaited recent investiture.
A source went on: ‘David and Victoria will never give up trying to secure a reconciliation between them and their son.
‘Nothing will change that, and they live in hope. He will always be their son, and they are not going to stop putting on record their feelings.’
In David’s New Year post the former footballer captioned the shot of him and his eldest son: ‘I love you all so much.’

Further shots included David with sons Romeo, Cruz and daughter Harper, while a final image featured wife Victoria and all for four of her children, with the caption: ‘You are my life.’
The post was promptly re-shared by wife Victoria who accompanied the image of David and Brooklyn with an affectionate love heart.
It was recently confirmed by Cruz that Brooklyn had blocked his entire family on social media following reports they had unfollowed him.
‘My mum and dad would never unfollow their son… Let’s get the facts right. They woke up blocked… as did I,’ Cruz wrote.
