An award-winning country music singer is giving the thumbs up after a freak accident with a bottle of salad dressing.
Carly Pearce, who has been diagnosed with a heart condition, displayed her injured appendage while sharing the gory details in a TikTok video uploaded on Sunday.
‘GET READY WITH ME ***with one hand***’ the singer, 35, wrote across the video, wearing a black tank top in contrast to her right thumb which was covered in white gauze.
While deftly adapting to her injury during the makeup session, the rock paper scissors singer explained it happened after her show in Holmdel, N.J. on Friday, August 8.
‘So, last night, I was getting ready to eat dinner after my show, and I went to open a bottle of ranch dressing that was a glass bottle,’ she told her fans. ‘When I went to open the bottle of ranch, it snapped off and a piece of glass cut my thumb.’
The hitmaker didn’t think it was a big deal at first but, ‘All of a sudden, I thought that ketchup was running down my hand, and it actually was blood.’

‘We had a few paramedics on-site at the show, so we decided just to have a look at it…And they told me I needed a few stitches.’
The decision to go to the hospital meant full lights and sirens.
‘What I didn’t know was that the ride to the ER would be in an ambulance, and it’s policy that the patient has to sit on the stretcher and be strapped in,’ she explained.
After some X-rays and painful numbing cream, Pearce received two stitches and was released.
Adapting to her condition has been a hit hairy for the Country Music Association Award winner.
‘My assistant almost had to shave my left armpit because I didn’t think I could reach it,’ she said.
Other daily tasks have been a bit difficult as well. ‘It is interesting trying to figure out how to do these normal things, like pull your pants up after you pee,’ she said.
Fans going to her August 14 show in Costa Mesa, CA and in Nashville August 20, will get to see how well she performs with the bandage.

‘The ranch had no business being that dramatic,’ joked another.
‘The moral of the story is be careful when you’re opening up things, and don’t go — like my mother says I do — like a bull in a china cabinet, and adding a joke at the end, ‘put a finger down if you’re almost show ready.’
