Jules Neale shares cryptic post after her AFL star husband Lachie confirmed their split at bombshell press conference

Jules Neale has spoken out for the first time since her AFL star husband Lachie confirmed the couple’s split.

The Brisbane Lions captain, 32, appeared to shake as he confirmed he had regretfully separated from Jules during a press conference in Queensland on Friday.

The bombshell revelation came after Jules publicly announced she had experienced the ‘ultimate’ betrayal and launched a stunning social media attack on the couple’s friend, former Mormon missionary Tess Crosley, in December.

Jules, 35, took to Instagram on Friday night to share a cryptic video – her first post since the drama began to unfold.

While no people were identified in the short clip, it showed a group of women sitting around a dining table.

The table was strewn with vision boards as the women added positive affirmations, mapping out their hopes and dreams for 2026.

Jules, 35, took to Instagram on Friday night to share a cryptic video – her first post since the drama began to unfold

An inspirational quip featured on one board read: ‘The love I deserve is on its way to me.’

Another read: ‘I am stepping into the most successful decade of my life.’

Captioning the cryptic post, Jules wrote: ‘This is your sign to get the girls together and manifest your 2026 vibes.’

She also augmented the clip with the song This Will Be (An Everlasting Love) by Natalie Cole.

The post was met with a flurry of support from Jules’ followers and one summed up the sentiment of many with: ‘What a great way to purposely start the year!’

The post was Jules’ first since the split drama was first revealed back on December 22.

Jules shared the post hours after Lachie confirmed that the marriage was over and that he was stepping down as co-captain of the Brisbane Lions.

‘While I will not go into specifics I can say that I have let my family down and I apologise for my actions which have hurt those closest to me. And for that, I am deeply sorry,’ Lachie told reporters.

‘I accept this as a consequence of my actions and I need to focus on rebuilding the trust with Jules as the future well-being our children remains our number one priority.

‘I understand as a public figure that there is interest in my personal life. However, I do ask the privacy of Jules and my children be respected as we work through our new situation and the next chapter of our lives.’

The conference escalated when a reporter asked the AFL star: ‘Did you cheat on your wife?’

‘I cannot address those rumours,’ the star midfielder shot back.

Lachie was then questioned over his ability to be a role model to fans in the fallout.

‘Like I said, I’m extremely disappointed in my actions and the breakdown of my marriage and I take full responsibility for it,’ he said.

‘For me, yeah, it hurts. I understand that I am a role model and I’ve probably let fans, not just at the Brisbane Lions but the AFL down, so I accept that responsibility and, like I said, I’ve put things in place moving forward to become a better person.’

Lachie said he was ‘extremely disappointed’ in himself as he vowed to put ‘plans and measures in place’ to be the best version of himself.

On December 22, Jules launched a public attack on former friend Tess Crosley, demanding she remove photos of the Brisbane Lions’ grand final celebrations.

The now-deleted comment, which was captured in screenshots, shows Jules writing: ‘Take these down, you idiot, you’re embarrassing yourself.’

Jules then denied news reports she was ‘working through’ issues with Lachie and instead alleged she had been ‘betrayed in the most unimaginable way’.

‘I want to make it very clear that I am not ‘working through’ anything,’ she wrote. ‘I have been betrayed in the most unimaginable way.’

There is no suggestion that Tess has done anything improper.
