Nicola Roberts has shared a look behind the curtain at her 40th birthday party where she celebrated the milestone with pals including her Girls Aloud bandmates.
The singer, 40, shared photos with Cheryl and Kimberley Walsh at a private dinner, where she was joined by her ‘closest family and friends’.
Nicola revealed it was also around the time she discovered she was expecting her first child with fiancé Mitch Hahn, which she announced on Christmas Day.
The mother to be said that after being affected by nausea in her early pregnancy she had not got round to compiling a post about her birthday.
But taking the time to share photos of the occasion, Nicola posted snaps of the group as she gushed it is her ‘favourite thing to have her loved ones in the same room’.
Nicola was wearing a red satin Victoria Beckham dress, which was the same garment worn by Holly Ramsay’s bridesmaids at her wedding over the weekend.

Meanwhile, Cheryl, 42, was wearing a plunging black gown and Kimberley, 44, opted for a deep red dress with a keyhole cut out across the bust.
Sharing her thoughts on the occasion, Nicola said: ‘Some looking back. In October, within 2 weeks I opened in my first west end lead role, learnt I was pregnant and turned 40. It was a whirlwind and I was barely able to acknowledge to myself my milestone birthday.
‘2025 has been full of surprises but I’m exactly where I wished I’d be. I was dealing with the most almighty nausea and so I never did get round to composing a birthday post at the time.
‘Looking back here on this gorgeous birthday celebration with all of my closest friends and family.
‘It will forever be my favourite thing to have everyone I love in the one room. This year has validated for me more than ever that you’re on your own timeline.
‘Don’t let anyone rush you. 40 has only just started and it’s set to be my best one yet HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE. May 2026 bring you all the happiness xxx.’

The post comes days after Nicola admitted ‘it feels lovely to relate and be part of the pregnant lady community’, after revealing she’s expecting her first child.
Nicola shared an update while cradling her baby bump in a sweet social media snap as she thanked friends and fans for their support.
She wrote: ‘A little note to say thank you for all of the beautiful messages of congratulations and support by all of our friends and family and many of you I don’t know personally who have shown us so much love.
‘It’s lovely to relate and be part of the pregnant lady/mummy to be community x.’
Nicola announced the joyful news she is pregnant on Instagram on Christmas Day and shared a gorgeous photo of her baby bump.
The hitmaker revealed she is currently five months pregnant and due to give birth in the spring.
Nicola penned: ‘Mitch and I have had the most magical Christmas Day sharing the most precious news with our families.
‘We’ve been keeping a secret. We are five months pregnant! We can’t wait to meet our little one in the spring x’

Last summer, Nicola showed off her huge diamond ring on stage at Brighton Pride after Mitch popped the question.
According to reports he got down on one knee during a romantic holiday in the south of France in July 2024.
A source told The Sun: ‘Nicola has met her soulmate in Mitch. She couldn’t be happier.’

Mitch, who is an accountant and semi-professional footballer, was first pictured with Nicola at Elton John’s concert in June 2022.
Her fiancé played for Essex team Grays Athletic and captained the Great Britain team at the European Maccabi Games in Israel.
Nicola’s last public relationship was with Charlie Fennell, who she dated for six years until the end of 2013, citing that the relationship had ‘fizzled out’.
Prior to this she was in a brief relationship with Carl Davies, who she suffered a campaign of online harassment from following the breakdown of the romance.
He was spared jail but handed a restraining order after being convicted of stalking Nicola. The harassment included threatening to stab and burn her, after setting up 35 fake social media accounts to send thousands of messages.
He targeted the pop-star over four years after their relationship broke down. Nicola never replied to any of the messages but meticulously copied every message which she then handed over to police.
He was later jailed for two years and eight months after he admitted sending death threats to former BBC Breakfast presenter Louise Minchin and threatening to rape her daughter.
