Kathy Griffin revealed she found love with a 23-year-old after her divorce from Randy Bick.
The stand-up comedian, 65, admitted she ‘accidentally’ fell in love with a man with whom she shares a 42-year age gap shortly after she divorced her second husband.
She explained that she found a connection with her younger beau that she did not have with men who are the same age as her.
‘I accidentally fell in love with a 23-year-old. Because of his age, he didn’t have the usual sexism, misogyny, and biases that guys my age tend to have,’ she wrote in an essay for The Cut published on Wednesday.
This comes shortly after she revealed she’s on four different dating apps in a bid to find love.
Griffin filed for divorce from Bick, 47, in December 2023, just a few days before their fourth wedding anniversary.

She cited ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason for their split.
Her first marriage was to actor Matt Moline from 2001 to 2006.
In the years after her divorce from Bick, she said she started up a romance with the man in his 20s and was enamored by how ‘he seemed to see’ her.
She said she ‘felt really comfortable with him’ and was ‘very content’ when spending time with him, but she added that it sounded ‘really corny’ and ‘so lame.’
‘It was nice to know that my heart could still feel like that in my 60s, and it was nice to have the universe show me a guy that I really got a kick out of but also respected,’ she admitted.
She also wrote that she ‘thought he was smart’ and ‘could roll in different worlds.’
‘It sounds cliché, and maybe he was an old soul, but i don’t know, we just clicked,’ she continued.
She later admitted that during their romance, she knew they wouldn’t last in the long run because she had too much ‘baggage.’

‘I really was in love with him. He touched my heart,’ she said before recalling how she knew that she ‘had to set that dove free’ later on.
‘We gave it a shot anyway, and we both went with it for a while, and then it came time to go,’ she continued.
‘He made me feel sexy and special and smart and funny. It had a lot of the elements of what I think would’ve made a real, lasting relationship.’
Griffin also shared her thoughts about her reputation as a ‘cougar’ and admitted she doesn’t mind the allegations.
‘I haven’t been with a guy my age since I was in my 30s,’ she wrote in her essay.
‘Pretty much since then, I’ve only been asked out by younger guys. So I’m constantly called a cougar, but I don’t mind,’ she continued.
‘I kind of am a cougar, which to me just means you have the freedom to choose the person that you want as opposed to the age bracket that society tells you is the only option for you,’ she wrote.
Then, she noted: ‘And they’re the ones who asked me out! I put 64 on my profile, and when I went on those dates, every one of them was at least 20 years younger. What am I gonna do? I can’t let this bangin’ body go to waste.’

In her essay, she also wrote about how she has a ‘healthy’ sex drive, ‘the same as it’s always been,’ and carries around a ‘party pack’ of condoms as she is still dating and ‘you just never know when the right opportunity might arise’; pictured in October

‘And at my age, there’s not a lot of reasons to say no,’ she added.
Griffin and her second husband were married for three years before she filed for divorce.
In her legal filing, she asked the court to enforce their prenuptial agreement, so neither party can be awarded spousal support.
Sources previously told the Daily Mail that Randy became a ‘homebody’ and lost his lust for life.
After ‘growing apart,’ Griffin reportedly felt divorce would be the only way she could ever feel like herself again.
‘Kathy was in love and is still in love with her ex and as heartbroken she is with how this all has turned out, Kathy loves living life,’ an insider said.
They added: ‘She always wants to have fun. She wants to travel and do things with a man she loves who has the same aspirations.
‘Kathy is just over 60 but still feels in her thirties and wants to enjoy life and has a fun and focused outlook on life and Randy did share that with her.’
