Kate Bell has modelled for the likes of Calvin Klein, Country Road and R.M. Williams.
At the age of 55, she is in more demand than ever, despite a ‘lull’ in her career when she reached her late 20s.
The Australian beauty told the Daily Telegraph on Friday that the industry has changed to embrace more women of all ages and looks.
‘I started panicking as I got into my late 20s, like ‘What am I going to do?’. But I just didn’t stop working, basically’ she said .
‘I may have got less jobs during some stages, but I somehow managed to keep going.’

Kate hopes that her ongoing success in the modelling industry will inspire other women.
‘I feel that what I am doing is just putting out there that women my age can do whatever they want’ she said.
‘And that whole thing we have grown up with, like, ‘Is my bum too big in this?’, and that whole idea of what your shape should be, is so outdated.’
Kate started working as a model at the age of 18 after answering an ad in a fashion magazine.
She moved to New York at age 19, before spending a time stationed in Paris, and working all over the world.

When it comes to taking care of her looks, Kate likes to keep things simple.
‘I love skincare and like to try all sorts of natural ingredient-based products’ she told the Napoleon website.
‘I also love face masks. I believe regular exercise and swimming in the sea does our skin a whole lotta good’ she went on.
‘My daily beauty regime looks something like this: A hot shower, followed by a 3 minute cold shower (well that’s what I aim for anyway).
‘Apply body oil – almond, black sesame – whatever’s on hand and then moisturise and prime my face.’
When it comes to feeling beautiful, Kate says confidence is key and urges women to be ‘kinder to themselves’.
