Jessica Simpson offered a rare glimpse of her son Ace as she celebrated his 12th birthday on Tuesday – after previously marveling over his height.
The 44-year-old singer – who is just 5’3″ – took to Instagram on Tuesday, sharing a slew of rare snaps of her middle child she shares with estranged husband Eric Johnson.
The post comes just under a month after she was spotted reuniting with Johnson at their daughter Maxwell’s graduation.
‘Happy 12th Birthday Ace!!! You are the sun. You are the moon. You are the wishes of every shooting star,’ Simpson began in her post.
‘You are the light. You are the way. You are the love that makes your Mamas heart glow! There’s absolutely nothing you can’t do,’ she added.
‘You excel in every single thing without even tryin’. You’re just that kid with a heart of gold that can do it ALL,’ the proud mother added.

The actress and singer and her estranged husband Erik Johnson announced their separation in January after 11 years of marriage, amid cheating rumors.
However, a source revealed in May that the exes are still on good terms with one another.
‘They are getting along well and everyone seems to be very happy,’ the insider shared with USWeekly on Thursday.
‘They talk and see each other all the time and have decided that no matter what happens, they will get along for the kids,’ the source added.
