Tom Hiddleston gushed that becoming a parent is a ‘life-altering’ experience as he confirmed both he and fiancée Zawe Ashton welcomed their second child together.
The 44-year-old Loki star – who mainly keeps his relationship with The Marvels actress out of the spotlight – briefly offered insight on the topic during a recent interview with GQ.
It comes shortly after Ashton, 41, also revealed that she gave birth to baby number two last month in November on Instagram.
Hiddleston expressed that birth was the ‘most beautiful, profound, earth-shattering, life-altering’ experience.
However, he did not give additional details in regards to becoming a father of two or when exactly the little one was born.
Back in October 2022, both Hiddleston and Ashton quietly welcomed their first child – after becoming engaged eight months earlier.

A source told Us Weekly at the time, ‘Tom and Zawe are loving being new parents and are filled with joy.’
The insider added that both stars were ‘having the struggles of new parents and aren’t sleeping much but are thrilled.’
Hiddleston has since offered rare comments on being a dad – including his appearance on an episode of the Happy Sad Confused podcast back in 2023.
The British-born star explained that it has ‘deeply’ affected him.
‘I think I probably knew it would, but I could never have imagined how deeply it would, until it happened. And yeah, it’s before and after.’
And while attending the Miami Film Festival last year in April, he also shared how his growing family has changed his life, per 7 News Miami.
‘It’s just changed everything. It changed the center of my life completely. There’s a before and an after, and I’m happy to be living in the after,’ he gushed.
Last month in November, Ashton revealed she had welcomed her second child as she visited the Little Village baby bank charity.

The actress jumped to Instagram to share a post and wrote, ‘Today, I chose to mark a milestone in postpartum recovery with a trip to one of the @littlevillagehq baby banks, dedicated to supporting families all year round.’
She added, ‘Throughout my recovery, I have thought deeply about the children in our world facing the most devastating living conditions and those tirelessly working to protect them.
‘I’ve reflected deeply on the ongoing war against children, a fight I am fiercely committed to.’
Friends and fans then rushed to the comments to congratulate the star on the new addition to her family.
Ashton had announced that she was expecting her second child in an interview with Vogue back in June.
And the following month, she finally set the record straight about her relationship with Hiddleston after sparking speculation they’d secretly tied the knot by calling him her ‘husband.’
The All Of You actress admitted her slip-up sent their loved ones into a furious tailspin.
‘We’ve been engaged for a long time, and there have been publications that have named us husband and wife already,’ Ashton explained on the Miss Me? podcast.

‘Those text messages [from friends and family] were very… there were some toxic paragraphs that were thrown my way. Like, okay… no, it didn’t happen. We didn’t do it in secret. We haven’t eloped.’
The Marvels star added: ‘It’s just a semantics thing. We call each other husband and wife. At some point, you’re like, girlfriend, boyfriend… We just had a kid with another one on the way.
‘It’s p***ing off people who are actually married,’ she said. ‘They’re like, “You realize that’s not real yet?”
‘We’ve talked about [marriage]. I think the spiritual bond and the anchoring for what it does for you as a couple and as a family is really appealing to both of us.’
Ashton and Hiddleston first met in 2019 while starring together in the Harold Pinter play Betrayal in London’s West End before taking the production to Broadway.
They were romantically linked soon after, making their red carpet debut as a couple at the Tony Awards in September 2021.
In March 2022, it was reported that they were engaged after Zawe was spotted wearing a diamond ring at the BAFTAs.

She said, ‘The wedding is a fantasy, right? And marriage is a reality. I’ve thought a lot about weddings. I’ve thought a lot less about the reality of what marriage is because I probably find that a little bit more scary.’
