There won’t be a spot of leopard-print in sight when Scary Spice Mel B marries fiancé Rory McPhee next weekend in St Paul’s Cathedral.
This will be the third wedding for Mel, who is 50 and a mother of three, Phoenix, 26, Angel, 18, and Madison, 13.
And it has now been revealed the bride is going all out for a perfectly traditional, perfectly English white wedding, with a thoroughly conventional dress – not designed by Victoria Beckham, even though Mel herself said that was happening last year.
Sources told The Mail’s Alison Boshoff that she will wear British designer Josephine Scott for the service on Saturday, July 5, in the crypt at the church where Prince Charles married Diana Spencer in 1981.
It can be revealed that there will be a further celebration with friends and family – and another wedding ceremony – at a hotel in Morocco later in July. Mel will wear a flashier gown, from US wedding designer Justin Alexander, for that one.
The star told Women’s Wear Daily in May: ‘This will be a very formal, English wedding where I want to feel regal and very proper. All the ladies will wear hats or fascinators.

‘Then, I’m having a second ceremony abroad, which will be more informal, sexy and beautiful.’
At her first wedding, to Dutch backing dancer Jimmy Gulzar in 1998, Mel wore a Vegas showgirl style feathered headdress with a white and gold dress.
Her second wedding, to Stephen Belafonte, in 2007, was a Las Vegas elopement, followed by a vow renewal in Egypt the following year.
This time round, a friend revealed: ‘It’s a very traditional dress and the service will be totally traditional. She will come down the aisle to organ music.’
There will be a small reception in London afterwards.
As to whether the Spice Girls will attend, it’s anybody’s guess. As ever, there are tensions between the former bandmates.
Mel C and Emma Bunton came to her 50th birthday party in Leeds earlier this month with their partners and they should be there.
As for Geri Halliwell-Horner and Victoria Beckham, we shall have to wait and see.

After Mel and Stephen Belafonte separated in 2016 she accused him of emotional and physical abuse, which he has always denied. His lawyers said that during the marriage they spent her £50million fortune.
Mel grew close to McPhee after the breakdown of her marriage to Belafonte. Last year she said: ‘He’s a family friend, great hair- dresser… when I went back to England, he would come over and give me hair treatments…
‘And as he was nurturing my curls back, I guess he was nurturing my trust and belief in a relationship.’
